What’s for Dinner Tonight?

I had a girls night out with my SIL and MIL. We went to a local restaurant for dinner. I had Honey Bourbon Shrimp, it was served with veggies over rice like a stir fry. It was yummy. I also had a French seafood stew. Both were yummy.

Then we went to see the local Middle/High School production of The Little Mermaid. It was actually Really good. Some talented kids in that production. The girl that played Ariel was amazing and only a Sophomore. Actually most of the leads were Sophomores (Ariel, Eric, Triton, Sebastian) My SIL's friend's daughter played Flounder.

I was supposed to leave on Friday afternoon with DD for a dance competition in Concord, NH. She has a pretty badly sprained ankle, but was going to tape and go for it, until she got the flu. ALL plans are on hold and she is on tamiflu, but it doesn't look like we'll make it to the competition. Therefore... dinner plans? WHAT dinner plans? I made a batch of meat/veg pasta sauce on Thursday, figuring DH would feed himself this weekend, but now I need a new plan as I don't eat pasta if I can avoid it.

Friday night was take-out Thai (I had pad see ew with shrimp and a dark&stormy, he had pik pow with tofu and an old fashioned).

Tonight? I guess he'll have pasta, not sure what I'll have. Maybe some tamiflu (i have a runny nose and have started coughing. Call is in to my doc). Gonna be an interesting weekend/week... and it's spring break. I had so much planned, so, we'll see what happens.

Nothing’s worse than being sick for a vacation week. I had the flu for spring break in Florida one year, and I was sick over February vacation this year in Florida exactly a month after having the flu! It was crazy.
Tamiflu is a miracle drug so hope you’re better soon!
