I know there's suppose to be a walkway from Epcot to the Epcot Resorts. Does this walkway go to HS? Then, does this walkway continue from Swan to the HS park?

How do you find this walkway?

I know you can take the boat there, but if you miss the boat I'm thinking it might just be quicker to walk and not too far of a walk.

How long does it take if you are slower at walking? I'll be pushing a wheelchair. Am I just better off to to take the boat to HS?

It's probably a 15-20 minute walk from the Swan to DHS; maybe longer with a wheelchair. From the Swolphin, cross over the bridge toward BWI, then bear to the right on the path along the canal that leads to DHS.

Here's a Robo map showing the various paths:

the walkway is a good trek... and from Swan/Dolphin there is no where else to jump on the boat until you get to DHS.
If I was you... I would take the boat from Epcot to DHS especially if you a pushing a wheelchair.

Why would you walk all the way to EPCOT to go to DHS.:confused3

It is a nice walk by the river but pushing a wheel chair you might just want to wait for the next boat.

The path is around a mile and a quarter long. I'd take the boat, especially if you're pushing a wheelchair.

We have walked that pathway from HS to the Beach club many times and it is a really nice walk:) I never feel like it was an incredibly long haul but I have been only pushing a stroller so not so sure about a wheelchair.

Forgot to add I am not a super athlete or anything close, just normal person who spends most of her time walking in a mall-LOL

but we want to take the Epcot boat to the Swan first. Then we will be at the Swan for a meal. Done with our meal we now want to go to DHS from the Swan, not from Epcot. Since we are closer to DHS from the Swan (I think) I thought it would be quicker to walk from the Swan than waiting for another boat. Some say the boat can take a half hour's time if you just missed one. We can wait for the second bost, but I just wanted to know if this is a viable option or not.

Thanks again everyone.

Here is some routing info...when the boat leaves Epcot, and heads to DHS, it stops at BW, YC/BC, S/D and then continues to DHS. The entire ride takes about 25 mins. If you get the boat at the S/D, it should take about 15 or so mins. The walk, from the S/D, is under 20 mins. You leave the S/D, cross over the bridge and head into BW..to the right. You will see the sidwalk to DHS right there...it runs beside the canal.
If you just miss the boat, it could take up to 20 mins for the next one to come along.
The walk if flat until you get to the DHS parking area...there you have to go up a slight incline and then on to DHS entrance. There is also an incline if you take the boat though...up fron the dock, and then up the slight hill to the front gates of DHS.

The walk is doable.

As others have mentioned, it's just about a mile from the Swan to the Hollywood Studios turnstiles so it should take around 20 minutes, depending on your walking pace. So, if you just missed a boat, it would be 15-20 minutes before the next one docks, add a few minutes for passengers to exit the boat and new passengers to board, then the short trip to DHS. I'd guess that all adds up to 30 to 40 minutes by boat if you just missed the last one versus roughly 20 minutes walking.

I'm still debating between the two choices. I'll see how it all goes that day.

I see both ways as doable for me which is what I wanted to find out. Thanks again.

Using the walkway to Hollywood Studios isn't hard at all and if you just missed the boat it's best to walk there.

Also when leaving Hollywood Studios if you take the boat the Swan/Dolphin is the 1st stop since it does a reverse order of stops, so that's something to keep in mind.
