Swan standard view--what should I ask for? any chance for an upgrade?

Well we are GOING and I just booked the Swan for 3 nights at the teacher rate, standard view (they had more expensive views, but our flights are costing more than last year). Any idea of an area/floor to request? How do I get a better chance at an upgrade?
I know the Swan will be full of DISsers so I hope I get a nice room!

One way to try to obtain an upgrade is to become a Starwood Preferred Guest.

You can sign up at www.starwood.com.

It might help you get a room with a balcony, it depends on the occupancy of the hotel when you check in. Can't hurt to ask when presenting your Starwood card!
