Swan room view request

Hello!
We are planning our next trip to the Wonderful World and we're thinking we'll stay at the Swan for the first time. We're getting AP's and we're SPG members. We'd like a resort view room with a balcony. Planning to book through Dreams Unlimited. Any suggestions of best rooms/ room requests we should make? We've done concierge at other hotels in the past - not sure we want to do CL at Swan as it seems the better view rooms are on other floors. Is this the case? Thanks for any and all help.

We stayed at Swan on CL (SPG, also) from 12/28-1/02/04. We were in 1153 and had a view of TOT at MGM, the waterway and Boardwalk(along with front valet area). We did not have a balcony, but the view of the fireworks at MGM was fantastic and we could also see the illuminations fireworks, although at a side view. CL is 11 and 12th floors. View and balcony were not a big priority for us. We loved the lounge and food offerings at breakfast and afternoon hors d'heurves were plentiful and very good. It was never too crowded and we could have stayed each morning , but occasionally took the food to our room to watch weather, etc in private. Thabo was a very nice CM and asked each morning what our plans were and what we did the previous day. Another CM cancelled a PS for me without any problem. Turn down service each night was very nice as was the renewing of towels. We also had no problem when we asked for bottled water for the parks, but they are the small bottles. I would do it again and CL was great perk. You will love the Swan, it is in such a great location and we enjoyed the restaurants at the Dolphin also (Dolphin Fountain, Fresh).

Which do you think is a better choice? Swan or Dolphin?

Personally I like the Swan better because it's quieter, but the location for both of them are the same.
