Help please...
For our upcoming WDW vacation we are trying to decide between the Swan or Coronado Gran Destino Tower for our 7 day stay. We have stayed at GD before and enjoyed it quite a bit. Did not like how far away food options were but overall enjoyed our stay. We have never been to the Swan and think it might be nice to try something different. The closeness to two of the parks is appealing. Would like some input on which resort to choose. Our fav resort is Port Orleans French Quarter but have decided to do a different resort this trip. Thanks...

If you would like to use extra evening hours, then Swan is the only one of those two that provides access (and would be particularly convenient for Epcot).

The only major con I can think of for Swan is the lack of official Disney transport, but that is offset by having two parks in walking distance (and you can just walk to Boardwalk or Yacht Club for the bus to MK and AK if you prefer).

I've stayed at both and will say, the location of the Swan is far superior to GDT, however, the newness of GDT makes it feel a lot more luxurious than Swan. The Swan is nice but it's not the new, fresh feel of GDT so that may be a little bit disappointing. However, if I'm picking rn between those two resorts, I'm picking Swan/Dolphin hands downs to get the extended evening hours and the walkability to DHS/Epcot and the Boardwalk area/other resorts.

I've stayed at both just in the last two months and they both have their pros and cons. As a resort, I preferred CSR GDT, but if you are looking for something different and better proximity to parks, Swan is a good choice. Our favorite room category there is the deluxe with balcony (request east tower, facing the Boardwalk), but I have also stayed "no view" and ended up with an amazing view! The restaurants at Swan/Dolphin are some of the best on-property, IMHO. I would just recommend utilizing, if need be, the MK and AK buses to/from BC/YC and BWI. The Swan MK buses will drop you off at TTC, not the main MK bus area. I never had issues getting to MK or AK from Swan, but trying to find the bus stop at AK was next to impossible and I ended up taking a YC/BC bus back.
