Swan or Dolphin

I am going to WDW the last week in August and staying at the S/D. Which would you recommend? It is a solo trip and I don't use the pool (so proximity to that doesn't matter). Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hmmm...solo adult trip. The Swan is closer to the Boardwalk, and it's the first hotel for bus pick-up and drop-off for MK and AK. It has a quieter, more adult atmosphere. The Dolphin is twice as big, has a WOW lobby, and more fast food choices. The Dolphin also has better views, IMHO. Which hotel have you reserved?

Right now I have the Dolphin, but when I booked it, both were available. I was thinking that since Tubbi's is in the Dolpin, that might be good, but since you mention the Swan is the first bus stop, I am now leaning that way. Such a dilemma

Having stayed at both, I prefer the Dolphin's lobby, restaurants, etc.

But--I prefer the bathroom set-up at the Swan better!

If you are concerned about the bus drop-off/pick-up, you can easily walk across the courtyard from the Dolphin to the Swan.

If you have your reservation at the Dolphin, why not just keep it?
