Swan Garden Grove seafood buffet all you can eat lobster?

It's stuffed lobster for an additional charge. The buffet price only includes half a lobster

The Seafood Sensation buffet is the best hidden gem on property, but there are so many good things served—including crab legs and crazy good desserts—that the half stuffed lobster is plenty.

They also give you a tray of fried seafood in addition to the lobster. Very good fish & chips, fried shrimp and calamari plus cheddar biscuits.

If you go, bring a AAA card or your DVC membership (20%) plus your appetite, and save room for a lemon meringue cupcake.

How does it compare to Cape May? I have been a few times, the last couple under protest (the in-laws love buffets). If they are our good value price wise compared quality of food I do enjoy them. However I am not fond of Cape May.

We ate there for the first time last year and enjoyed it. We thought it was decently priced and it was fun character interaction. You get a half of stuffed lobster or you can pay more to have them all you can eat. I loved the fried basket and I know we eat quite a bit of those crab legs :-)

I have also eaten at Cape May in the past. I think they were quite similar but from what I can recall CM had more non seafood items scattered in as well.

We are staying at the YC in September. I'm undecided as to which one we will be eating at. Cape May will be very easy to get too but its also a short walk to the Swan.

Thank you for mentioning the Seafood Sensation Buffet...thinking of trying it on our October trip. Thanks for the tip about DVC card and AAA!:thumbsup2 Haven't been back to Cape May Buffet in years, used to go frequently.

Without discount, how much is the Garden Grove Seafood buffet including tax? Cape Mays for dinner is around $48 I believe.

EDIT: Never-mind, after some digging I found it. $39.99 for adults +tax, so $42.59 plus tip as of July 12th 2018.

I like GG far more. The selection at GG is not as big as CMC, but the quality is far above. Plus you get characters at dinner every night.

In May, we were blown away by lots of things—the fish and chips from the tray they serve, the crab legs, mussels, and strip loin. The desserts were amazing. The pastries are made under supervision of their award-winning pastry chef.

It was an outstanding meal in every way. :)

you mention the strip loin, what else is good for someone (guess who? lol) who doesn't do seafood? is it buffet style with kid selections available? I'm intrigued ;)

Hi, Lisa. :)

The beef strip loin is really nice. It’s served from a carving station, sliced and cooked to order with horseradish sauce or plain horseradish and au jus. They always have a chicken dish on the buffet. Homemade mashed potatoes and fresh green beans.

The kid’s buffet is in a separate area with the usual kid stuff like chicken nuggets and mac & cheese, and one item I just love—mini corn dogs. :cloud9:

Lots of salads. My baby nieces loved the fruit salad with mixed berries, fresh pineapple and melon.

I already raved about the desserts. A great selection and everything is so good. Chocolate or fruit tarts, little jars of bread pudding, chocolate mousse domes and my favorite—lemon meringue cupcakes. They’re small lemon cakes stuffed with lemon curd and topped with toasted meringue and a decorative swirl of yellow fondant. I love lemon desserts, and these are top notch. :)

With AAA, the price is $32. It’s a steal at that price, and you can walk up without an ADR almost any time.

ETA: This review has some great photos of the buffet:

Now I’m wanting to try Garden Grove. That would place us at the Swan for dinner 2-3 nights out of 5. Hmmm.....

does anyone know if you can get extras of the fried stuff? I have a picky eater I'm planning a trip with and I know he'll only want the fried things

IDK, but they bring a lot of stuff (forgot to mention the fried clam strips which are yum). There is so much food between the fried food tray, lobster and buffet, it would be hard to eat more—like the AYCE lobster option.

wow it looks good. I'm trying to figure out how to fit it in and it's not looking possible without dropping something else, lol. We have AAA and DVC, both of which get the 20% it seems. Maybe on our last Friday, we were just going to do the plaza but could maybe shift things around to fit it in.

We thoroughly enjoyed everything except the desserts. Maybe they were having a bad night? Those were just bland.

My husband really liked the peel and eat shrimp. I loved the half lobster and fried offerings brought to our table. My daughter was all about the mini corn dogs and mac and cheese.

Since no one else has mentioned it, the character interaction here was probably the best we’ve ever experienced at a meal. We had Chip, Dale, Pluto, and Goofy (my daughter’s favorite!).

We were staying at the Swan where it’s located when we dined there, but if I weren’t staying in the Crescent Lake area, I’d pair it with an Epcot or Studios day.

After consultation with the child, the reviews in this thread and the pictures/review posted we have decided to fit this in. Lobster and steak for the same price as a disney breakfast? Kid won't eat his lobster so I'll just have to eat both halves. Like a good mom. I'll take one for the team !

Is it true that they charge $23 for parking, with no validation even if you eat dinner at GG? When I was told this, I balked at that charge even though the meal sounds great.

Assuming they do charge that parking fee, does anyone have an easy recommendation for getting to the Swan without having to drive? Thanks!

Uber? Bus to HS and walk?
