Swan & Dolphin Weddings FAQ

I'm still in the super early planning stages but Il Mulino is in iur too 3 choices right now. Curious to see others responses. Also, if anyone did brunch at Il Mulino, would love to hear that too. What times did you have it?

I would love to hear your plans so far! What are your other 2 choices?! I know the Cabana Bar isnt formal but I LOVE the atmosphere, lol. I think Il Mulino is pretty, and I love the menu. There's something for everyone.

For those of you planning a S/D wedding on a budget, you might want to look into having a brunch through Fresh Mediterranean Market, located at the Dolphin.

We almost booked a brunch there for our wedding, but ended up with a lunch in one of the Swan ballrooms, due to an increase in guest size.

Fresh is a really pretty restaurant & they are really nice to work with. I remember the catering menu being pretty reasonably priced as well :)

We are on a budget, I don't want to go over $10,000. But I want dinner, I think we would be able to do it in our budget. :thumbsup2 Thank you for your advice!!;)

For those of you that did the Garden Grove breakfast for your reception, what time was your ceremony? And how long were you able to stay at restaurant? I'm concerned we'll be rushing to the restaurant and won't even enjoy our meal.

Thank you!

Thanks for the tip! Do you recall if fresh was a buffet for the reception, or a seated meal? Also, do you know if they have private or semi-private rooms?

Hi there!

If I recall correctly, it was a semi-private room, but I *think* (not positive) that it also included a veranda, in addition to the semi-private room?

What they quoted for us was a family style meal that included juices, Starbucks Coffee, Hot Tea, and soft drinks. We were looking for brunch so our family style consisted of some salads and panini's.

In addition, they also have a buffet, as part of the regular restaurant, where they have a chef who prepares pancakes, waffles, french Toast, eggs made to order, juice extractions, pastries, and breakfast meats. The food is supposed to be fantastic. They also have a lunch buffet.

If you didn't want the additional family style stuff, I'm sure you could just have your guests access the buffet where the general public is and then be seated in the semi-private dining area.

Here is a link to a 360 degree view of the space and also a little more info on the restaurant. I think it's a really pretty space-clean and vibrant looking :) I noticed the menu link is not working, but I included a different link where you can see their menus :)

If you are interested, feel free to PM me and I can give you their contact info-they were wonderful to work with. We would have gone with them, but our guest list ended up doubling, so we ended up doing a plated lunch in one of the ballrooms instead :)

I'm also migrating from a DFTW to a SD wedding and mainly because of the price.

I was wondering what I should do... My main interests are:
a private ceremony
Reception (lunch or supper?!!)
Viewing of Wishes Fireworks
Mickey and Minnie appearance

So do I go with a late ceremony at SD and supper at Contemporary (Napa room) for the fireworks viewing? anyone has their caterer menu?

Or SD ceremony & reception early pm and then a dessert party?(can these be done somewhere to see the Wishes fireworks?)

Or maybe... Lol
Later SD ceremony, reception as well at SD (courtyard - beautiful pics at night with lighted tree and lanterns) and viewing of fireworks from beach?

I'm waiting for a first reply from JustMarry - I'm getting a little nervous is starting this event officially!!

What do u think of the above?

Thank you so much! I'm really liking this idea, especially with the other plans I have in mind. I'd love the contact info if you'd share it. I emailed Leo Tarver but have not heard back.

Hello!
I got married at Crescent Terrace (outside) and had dinner at Garden Grove - feel free to read my planning journal (the link is in my signature!)

All of the things you want can be accomodated. Minnie and Mickey are the same price as they are for DFTW and Dessert Parties can be booked through Disney directly - many of our girls have done Wishes and Illuminations DPs.
Hmmm so how lond before I write to them again? :-S
I'd give them until Monday and then call or email.

Let us know if we can help in any way or if you want to join our S/D Facebook group! :thumbsup2

We did our dessert party the night before our wedding. It was a fantastic kick-off to to our wedding & a very special way for my DH and I to experience our last night before being married :)

Hi Ladies,

Here are my tentative plans so far (as in what I would book if booking today):

Welcome/Rehearsal Dinner at Cape May Cafe, O'Hana, Garden Grove OR ESPN Club (but no reservations at ESPN :()

Ceremony and Cake Cutting in the afternoon the next day at either the West Courtyard or Crescent Terrace followed by dinner at Il Mulino.

If we have 10 or less people (a possibility), I would :lovestruc to do an Illuminations Cruise after dinner.

Looks great!

Since you'll have 10 or less, you should be okay with ESPN but you may not want to risk it.

Hello ladies! I'm new to the site, and hopefully will be a Disney bride by the end of the year! I've read through a lot of this thread, and all the info you have shared is fantastic. I hope I did this right!:)

Thank you! I joined this past week (Ashley Purkey). Does anyone know if you choose the full package thru Just Married, do you still get to pick your photographer, videographer, etc.? Or do you get who they assign to you?
