Swan & Dolphin Weddings FAQ

Great minds think alike!!!! Our colour scheme was based around the colours of the Swan too!! We were kind of calling it turquoise and light terracotta. My daughter's dress, the accents on the cake, the stationary etc were in the turquoise colour and the floral was in shades of terracotta (with ivory accents).

Salmon or coral. I'm not sure how to describe the second color, aquamarine maybe? Teal is more bright blue IMO.
Thanks!!
allears . net calls it Coral and turquoise.
Going straight to the source! Nice! Thanks! :thumbsup2

Jo, as usual, you're a life saver! I thought I remembered someone using the color scheme and there it is! Looks gorgeous! I'm going to save your pictures if you don't mind!

Thanks girls! You're the best! :grouphug:

I just realized that I inadvertently picked out a dress that matches the Swan's colours! My dress is called 'Malibu.' It's the exact colour of the Swan. Our VR is coming up in a month or so. Getting very excited. Haven't been on the boards for a while as my computer was hacked into. Any way, I'm back and glad to see (?) everyone.

Mrs. Duck--I got my dress through www.davidsbridal.com. I tried it on here at home and called the Orlando store. They will be shipping it to me at my resort for the VR. I actually bought the last one in my size in Canada (in yellow). I loved the dress. I then called Orlando and they were able to get the colour I really wanted. DH said to keep the yellow one, even though I planned to return it having found the blue. I'll wear the yellow for my daughter's first communion in April. They were very helpful at David's Bridal. You can browse all the dresses on line and I found the sizing charts to be accurate. Mine was a bridesmaid dress. Wanted something casual for our big day.

Nice to be back Joanne, I've missed you. I'm a bit suspicious that I picked up the computer trouble over on the Creative DISigns board. Anyway, I'll be more careful this time around. The VR is all set. I'll update my PJ rather than going into all the details here. HAve a look. I've enjoyed reading your TR.

Hi girls!

I know that us S/D girls can't use Cinderella's Coach but I was wondering if anyone knows anything about the alternative to the coach that we can use?

DFi and I were talking yesterday and I told them that S/D brides can't use the Coach or take pics at MK. Surprisingly, he was very upset and asked why I couldn't use the Coach. I thought it was weird but moved along with my story.

Later that night he told me he was going to contact Karen to arrange the Coach as a surprise for me. :( I feel terrible! (He's so sweet though!)

Anyways, now we want to know what the closest thing we can get to the Coach is and just where it goes exactly..? Would my guests even see the thing?

Thoughts?

I've heard of brides using a horse drawn carriage as an alternative to the coach but I've never heard of a swan bride using one. Have you asked Karen? I'm sure she'd know if there were a vendor that did that. I wonder if you could come right down the strip between the swan and dolphin and be dropped off at the fountain?

I thought Jo mentioned something before about their being an alternative for us to use? Maybe it's just wishful thinking! :lmao:

I haven't gotten in contact with Karen yet but will do so later in the week!

In the original documentation Karen sent me it mentions the horse and carriage:

Horse and Carriage (booked in two-hour minimums) - $595 for two hours

Wow! That is great! I think Cinderella's coach is something like $2,700 for 20 mins.

Hi ladies, we just got back from our menu tasting at Il Mulino and I have some great info to share! When you dine at any of the Signature restaurants at the Swan or Dolphin you are entitled to 2 free hours of camp dolphin for any children in your party. It is for kids ages 4-12 and Camp Dolphin runs from 5:30-midnight. Anything over the 2 hours will be $10/hr per child. They even serve the kids dinner from 7-8. It extends to everyone in your party too. They have room for up to 16 children and they say it books fast so book early. I called today (4 mos out) and they were completely open. I think the limit was 1 kid per adult, so if you had 3 kids you'd have to pay for the third. Still a pretty darn good perk of eating at the Swan or Dolphin! I hope this helps someone else out :)

Also, the Il Mulino tasting session was amazing. The restaurant was so beautiful at night with the candle light and the food was amazing. I'm so happy to have chosen them for our dinner! I wrote a bit about it in my PJ if anyone is interested in hearing about it.
