Can anyone please tell me what the teeacher/nurse rate is at the swan/dolphin?

Thanks!

The rates vary from week to week. The best things to suggest:
1. call the Swan Dolphin at 1-800 227-1500 and give them the dates you are looking for, specifying either the teacher rate or the nurse's rate.
2. Look at the DIS home page for the Swan/Dolphin advertisement and put in your dates there.
3. Also on the homepage, check the Dreams Unlimited section- they often can garner blocks of rooms for each rate.

The teacher rates are great. We have rooms for an upcoming stay at $165. per night. I know they do offer many discounted rooms in lower convention time frames. Keep checking - you are bound to find what you want - but persistance is the key.

I was able to get a $189 rate for a standard room over our spring break at the end of March.

hello,

I ended up with a rate of $199 per night for August 2007. Just wondering, does that sound reasonable? I know others have responded with lower rates. I booked my room through dreamreservations. Replies welcome!

That's probably about right. Different times of the year can make a drastic difference even with the nurses/teachers rate.

Here's to hoping to my trip {sometime} in the beginning of the year at the Swan (mommy's a nurse). :goodvibes

I would ring the hotel direct and see what rate they offer. I got a rate of 179$ for our stay in January which was less than Dreams or the hotel website. This is an Entertainment rate but still less than what was quoted on either websites. :Pinkbounc

Can retired teachers get the teacher rate? We would have a pay stub from the comm of MA.

If I were in charge, that would be the correct thing to do, thanking you for your years of service.

But I'm not sure if the Swalphin feels that way. Are you still licensed by your state? See, my mom is an RN but hasn't worked in 20 years, but she still has a valid NY nursing license so is still eligible.

I paid $129/night August 11 2006. The rates were higher initially and dropped. I called and the Dolphin adjusted the rate.

I've used the teacher rate before. They told me when I booked what I needed to verify. I used my teacher's union card, but I believe they said my teaching certificate/license or paystub would also work.

July 2005 139 and upgraded to corner king w concierge!
Aug 2006 129
Gotta love the nurse/teacher rate.

I just called and tried to get the teacher rate for the first week of April but they said that it was unavailable for that week.... I noticed that luvdmouse above got the rate for the end of March, and both weeks are technically spring break. Anyone else able to get this rate during spring break and, if so, how?!?! Thanks!!
