Swan/Dolphin Specials for December?

I seem to remember seeing here on the DIS some really low rates at the Swan and Dolphin last December. Does anyone remember the specifics? Or when they became available? I'm thinking I saw $99...might be a sleep deprivation induced hallucination though...

I remember that too from last Dec but I can't remember if it was just for the period of time when the mousefest was going on or if it was for most of the month. We are planning in Dec this year and are hoping for great rates at the Swan & Dolphin. Does anyone remember when they announced this great rate for last December?

I know it was after I booked my trip last year.

They did have rates of $129 during the week before and after Christmas.

Fast-forward two years! We're booked in the Swan the week before Christmas this year (2007) at $169.00 per night. Does anyone think the Swan will announce a less expensive GP rate between now and December?

I have a teacher's rate of $189 for the week OF Christmas!

That's an awesome rate for Christmas week! Unfortunately, I'm not a teacher, government worker, AP holder, or anything else that would give me a discount. Just waiting for a nice general public discount! $169 isn't bad, but I'm holding out hope for an additional discount announcment, maybe November or December timeframe.

Can't help with last year's rate, but in 2005 we got a $149 rate at the Dolphin. We were there from the 19th - 22nd, and then switched to the GF, but I believe the rate was good the rest of the week.

They will (at some point) advertise the Christmas rates here on the DIS at some point. That's how I found our rate.
