If I am looking to book on Priceline, what are the ammenities or other info I should look for when bidding. I would love to stay there but could never afford $100 + per night.

When you are bidding on Priceline, amenities are not really a factor (except in how they affect "star *"-level). You are actually bidding on Quality level (Resort, 4*, 3*. 2.5*, 2*, and 1*) as well as City and Zone. All of this is explained on Sheryl Mexic's most excellent BiddingforTravel.com website.

The travel site that shows city, star-level, AND amenities is Hotwire. More information on how to identify hotels offered thru Hotwire may be found on Thereuare's BetterBiding.com site.

Be aware that bidding on Priceline does not implicitely guarantee you will get either the Swan or Dolphin. You might improve the probability of winning a bid there while others are reporting wins, but you also end up at the Hilton, Wyndham, or Marriott.

You will also be bidding blindly on Hotwire, although you can "guess" what hotel you may receive by matching up the historical amenities. However, Hotwire's rates have been historically higher than Priceline's, so you make a tradeoff of sorts.

Those above sites are wonderful as I still use them for my business travel!

Did the PL for WDW trip about 3 years ago, and scored the MOWC for only $55 a night!
It was a wonderful resort, not on property, but still super!
Was one of those vacations that we also did Universal, SW, Gatorland.

Dolphin has been coming up on Biddingfortravel.com. lately at
$ 70 a night.
But, as the site says....DO YOUR RESEARCH!
Know what resorts are available during your dates, and the prices that are available from all resources, ie, expedia, orbitz, the hotel chain internet site, etc....

Hope this helps, too!
Also, I used to "hang out" on the DIS Budget board!
Great place to learn how to save for WDW !

When I was investigating Swan/Dolphin, I found using Hotwire.com was easier than priceline. You must pick 4-5 star in wdw area then the list will appear with the amenitites at each resort. You really only have those two hotels or Hyatt Grand Cypress or Marriott World Center in this category. If you go to booking a package on hotwire, enter your info and the hotel will be named with its amenities. Copy down the amentities and then go back to hotel only booking and you can be pretty sure.
