Swan/Dolphin Questions

Hi Everyone!

My experience with the S/D was a brief one where I attended an Xbox Gaming Event there in 2007.

So my question - what is the actual connection between the S/D and Disney. Are they considered on property (ie extra park hours)? If I make a block of room reservations, would they be allowed as one of the rooms?

I'm trying to find nice rooms at all prices for our families and the S/D have some great deals going on but I want to make sure we have everyone on property and close. We're trying to decide between the CB and the S/D as our second hotel (the BV would be the first).

The Swan & Dolphin are not owned by Disney, so about the only on-property perks you get are bus service and Extra Magic Hours.

You can't use Magical Express, get the Disney Dining Plans, charge Disney purchases to your room or include the Swan/Dolphin in your Disney's Fairy Tale Weddings room block.

However, you may be able to work out a separate deal (like a room discount) directly with the Swan/Dolphin if you'll have a lot of guests staying there.

I have booked the dolphin for our wedding, we wanted a nice hotel but did not want to force family to pay deluxe prices. We managed to get a deal for $149 per night, I woul have a look on mousesavers they have some great tips to save some $ if your AAA, teacher etc.

I requested a room discount for my guests attending our wedding at the S&D and they stated they didnt do that. Maybe I'm talking to the wrong person.

Dang - well it was worth asking anyway. Many hotel chains will give you a discount if you can guarantee a certain number of rooms will be booked, but I guess Starwood isn't one of them...
