morning :wave2:

my mom called me last night with some sad news. one of the boys that my brither used to be friends with when they were young has passed away. :( he was only in his early 20's. i guess he went out drinking with his friends one night, went to bed and was unresponsive with a weak pulse the next morning. he was declared braindead yesterday and they took him off of life support. the only thing they can figure is that he had an anneurysm. i haven't talked to my brother yet so i don't know how he's taking it, but my mom's freaking out...since she has kids the same age. and my sister's taking it pretty hard too. she spent her summers babysitting these kids for a few years. he had a younger brother and sister. very very sad...

jasmine did a good thing yesterday and today!! we came home to NO MESS in her crate!! and then this morning, matthew tried an experiment. he put her outside on her chain to do her business, then let her back in so she could eat, but he kept her chain on her and left the door open a bit. she ate...played...and then went outside on her own! yay! i think she's getting the hang of this housebreaking stuff! and i've taught her 3 tricks...she can sit...lay down...and shake! we've mastered sit, but we're still working on lay down and shake. she won't do either of those unless there's a treat involved. :p pretty smart dog! it took me forever to teach my dalmatian those tricks!!

we found out this morning that the momma dog has been adopted. the foster home became quite attached to her so she's keeping her. we're still considering a second dog...but we'll wait until we find the perfect companion.

here I am here I am!!
I hated that Lisa whats her name too....I thought it was so funny when Simon joked about how he never seen anyone open their mouth so big :teeth: glad she's gone!!
I'm happy that Jasmine made it and also the redhead was my pick too....not that he sounded all that great that night....but I think he has potential....as Simon put it.....and will grow better from week to week much like Clay did. Remember Clay in the beginning???? ;)
Now they revealed those 9 wildcards from other weeks so quickly I didn't get it

Marie....you go and run....and then you eat a doughnut :scratchin

PD to your brother and the young man's family Brandie

one thing my dog has never done is mess in his crate...and he's been sleeping all night there since we brought him home.

have a good day

jasmine doesn't mess in her crate overnight...it's during the day for some reason. but then again, she's not in her crate for more than 8 hours overnight, but in her crate from about 7am until 6pm monday through friday. i can't blame her for not being able to hold it that long! but she did great yesterday...hopefully she'll continue...i will be so happy once we have grass out back and we can put up our fence! then we won't have to worry about this!!

that you could trust of course to take her out at noon time for a brisk walk or something.......we did that with our Jasmine.......or a doggie day care.....alot of that going up in our areas

we've talked about a doggy day care...there's 2 on the way into work for us...but she has to wait til she has all of her shots before she's accepted. and we're just getting ready for round 2 this weekend...once she has her shots, we plan to take her once a week to day care. that will give her time to play until she drops...i think we decided to do that on wednesdays. so she'll be in her crate (until we have the fence and doggy door) mondays and tuesdays, doggy daycare on wednesdays, and she'll spend thursdays and fridays recovering from doggy day care in her crate, and then we're home on the weekends. i would go home to let her out at lunch time, but it would take my whole lunch hour just driving there and back...

I thought last night's 2 AI picks sang SO much better last night than the night before! Must be the confidence that getting picked gave them :). Jasmine in particular, her performance last night was amazing....you could see the judges were very into it too at the end!
They did do those other 9 wildcards pretty fast Debbie, but I was pleased to see Katie Weber in there, also the Letendre girl, wasn't she from Massachusetts?

Brandie...you are crazy ::yes:: :hyper: :teeth: Just wait til you have a baby. Then take them both to the same daycare. Or stay home and start a combo baby/doggie daycare business. :teeth: Bless you all with the patience to take care of other people's kids and pets!!! :)
Sorry to hear the sad news :( Could he have had some kind of alcohol poisoning to make him unresponsive like that? I thought an anuerysm either ruptures and kills you......or "leaks" and causes a stroke (which might or might not be fatal).

TC....someone's looking for you on another thread!!

Yes the Letendre girl is form Sturbridge...thats about 15-20 minutes from here and its where DH grew up. She is the only singer I missed of all the 4 weeks....I was on the phone

I have question about WDW....how long do the Christmas decorations stay up?? I'm sure they are up thru New Years day but how long after??
I have never seen them...its on my "to do" list. I was looking at air fares around late dec/early Jan....up near $300.....more than I want to pay...but I'll keep looking ;)

Just keep watching the fares ::yes::
I have been talking about going to California for 3 years now....so thats why when I saw the fares @ $225....I jumped :hyper:

Holy cow - can't believe Sue set that up to file a claim against Richard...

this is my early week and my rug rat has arrived......he is watching his morning show......with his donut and milk.......he is not a morning person......should of given him a cup of coffee.....hahaha.......
Last night went to Governors for supper and I had the salmon pie.....with egg sauce and tossed salad......this place has the best salmon pie around....Hope you all have a good day

 good morning pumba and rug rat :teeth:

good afternoon Shellie ;) :teeth:

Happy Friday all!

Cookie.....that was very interesting, I'm still speechless!

Stoppimg by to say hello, hope everyone has a good weekend. :wave2:

Brandie, sad to read of that young man's passing, sad. His family and friiends are in my prayers.

And nice to hear about your Jasmine, And I can say those crates are wonderful. It's Vince's Doc's quiet room when he wants peace and quiet. Dogs love them. Good luck, nice.

morning :wave2:

thank you for the kind words regarding my brother's friend...it's such a sad situation for them. i couldn't imagine going through anything like that. ann...they did tests on him for both drugs and alcohol. there were no drugs in his system and he had a very low alcohol level. well under the legal limit. so i don't believe it was alcohol poisoning. they did harvest his organs...hopefully this sadness will be able to help another family in need...

i'm still so torn over what to do about a second doggie! i want one, but then again, i don't! i just think that jasmine might be easier to manage if she had a playmate...other than me and DH! we wore her down last night...we took a tennis ball, sat at opposite ends of the room, and rolled the ball between us. jasmine was running back and forth and back and forth for about 45 minutes. she finally pooped out on the couch! it was funny...the only bad things about her right now...biting and barking. she bites at everything...fingers, toes, toys, clothes...and the barking never ends! any suggestions ont he barking and biting?

yes dogs do love the crate. Mine goes in his on his own at times thru out the day...

good morning
GAil I didn't know what you were talking about...I thought you meant OUR Sue.....missing Sue.....Poohlvr ....I was confused and wondered what I'd missed....then I realized you must be talking about Survivor

Well obviously I'm NOT the right person to ask but I say....
BARK AT HER AND BITE HER BACK  :hyper: ;)

Hope you all had a good day. TIme for my Firday night Mexican. That Margarita will taste good it was a long week at work

Hello!
Debbie- don't feel bad, I thought Cookie was talking about Mom too. It took me a minute (a long minute:rolleyes: ) to realize she was talking about Surviver. Probably b/c about the only reality show I've watched much of was King of The Jungle on Animal Planet.
Ann- enjoy your Margarita!
Scarlette, not sure about the barking, but she should grow out of the biting, most puppies bite and chew alot, especially when they are teething. The best thing I found to get Dillon to stop when he was younger were toys like a Booda bone and especially his Kong. Hope this helps.
Hope ya'll are having a good day. It's been a very wet day around here w/ thunderstorms off and on- a perfect day for being lazy and napping.

i'm floating on cloud nine right now!!! i just had my "cellcert" from the clay aiken concert in DC!! he sounded wonderful and the crowd was insane...poor guy's sick though...:(
