All,
I am currently booked at Swan April 19th - 24th for $162.50 AAA rate, standard view, 2 queens.
Asking for a Room Only reservation I tried to get Allstar Movies for the entire trip, but it is not available (trying to watch budget), and hoping for an upsell, when I was able to get the remaining 3 nights at movies I found out I was speaking to WDWT. She did not offer me the upsell and wanted the balance now. I asked for Central Reservations and she transferred me. I started booking Movies, and CR told me I could get Coronado for $10 more, Yea. So now we are split between, Swan and Coronado, really didn't want to move this time, but also couldn't see paying $169 a night at the moderates. I tried to get the $119 a night at Coronado the entire trip, but CR said that it would have come up the first time she looked for Movies if it were available.
The final consideration in all this is the Hotwire possibility of getting Swan for $114 a night for those first 5 nights. Researched some based on the Hotwire Swan tread and other places, and it seems like it is available those nights. Three possible problems with that, 1. not definitely the Swan/Dolphin, 2. can't be secure in 2 beds 3. will they treat Hotwire customer different, maybe put them closer to the construction?
Any comments or suggestions out there?
Thank You,
Only 12 days to go!!!

Mrs. A and Part of Your World,
Are these specials available for Easter week? I think the $139 rate says something on the lines of starting 6/1. I would love to see that rate, or Club level with a real nice rate. I made the AAA reservation at Swan very recently, that is why I couldn't get the whole time period. I also thought about the Allears discount but I think I'm to late on that one to. The more that I think about it the better I feel about the way things are now, but always looking for a better deal. Have to figure out when to check in at CSR, we have the kids going to the pirate cruise that morning.
Thanks again!

I don't recommend doing the Hotwire thing, because you could end up offsite, not at the Swan/Dolphin. We tried this with Priceline because at one time everyone seemed to be getting the Dolphin for around $72, so I tried and of course I got the Hilton. Then, I spent the rest of the time up until the trip stressing about whether or not we would get two beds, because we had 4 adults. So, if you've got the Swan at $162.50 over Easter, I'd definitely stick with that.

Also, remember with Hotwire & Priceline, all sales are final. NO cancellations. NO changes.

Brian D,
The bed thing is my real fear. Although we could bring some type of air-mattress and the kids wouldn't care, don't know if I want to deal with it, and I think one(S/D) of them have a pull-out sofa with the kings. With Hotwire you have a better chance of getting your hotel because they offer you an amenities list for the particular hotel they are offering, others have posted which amenities list goes to which hotel.
One good thing about this is if they are offering rooms to Hotwire they probably are not as full as I thought they were going to be.

Sorry Donna. Guess I'd read too many threads last night. The AAA rate is great in that case. We decided that a deluxe hotel for the same money was far better than a moderate, and in addition, we got the government rate. We'll be there the same time. Enjoy your visit!
