Our last flight to MCO via SWA we wre let out in Building A, but I could swear SWA was always in B....

Are some of SWA coming in at A and some in B? Or did they total switch sides

A friend and I are meeting at MCO, both flying SWA and I want to make sure we end up together.... rofl

Thanks for the input!

You can meet upstairs which is a very short walk from both the A and B sides. (It's the same building.) How about in the very center of great hall that the Hyatt hotel rooms overlook? You can watch people lining up for security for the high numbered gates (about #60 to #120).

Up an escalator is the mezzanine which is the Hyatt lobby.

Thanks for that info, but does anyone know if all SWA gates are now arriving/leaving from building A now???

I've been flying SWA since Jan. 2005 & have made numerous trips to MCO. It's been in Terminal A every time I've been although there are signs to Terminal B very close to there. When meeting others at MCO, we always meet in the lobby where the Hyatt is right in front of the Disney EarPort store.

Southwest has been on A side since day one - at least from day one that I used them.

SWA has always been on the A side as long as I can remember. SPIRIT, however has moved to the B terminal in the last year, taking over some of the old USAir gates.

Boy oh boy I am going crazy... I thought for sure it was on the B side.... wow..... I guess this means I am officially OLD.

SO I guess that means The Cin O BOn place closed??? I remember always grabbing on for the flight home (And smelling them on the way in) and I didnt see it last time thru.... Or were those rolls just a figment of my imagination...

Oh well. Nice to finally have my age catch up to me I guess.

:::::sigh:::::::

SW started service to MCO in 1996 but airside 2, SWs current location, opened in 2000. I'm not sure what side they were using prior to their current location.

I am flying in on USAirways and DH is flying in on SWA, is this a good spot to meet for us too? I was trying to think where would be a good spot, he gets in 45 minutes before me, should we do the baggage claim area is that more straightforward than this location?

Southwest has always been terminal A landside, never been B landside. You might be thinking when the new air side terminal was built, Southwest was moved over to the new airside. But the monorail from the other airside they were in would carry you over to Terminal A landside.

There is no cin-o-bun in the airport. I guess Krispy Kreme took their place. You could meet at the main eating area which is in the middle of the terminal on the 3rd floor.
