SWA March dates?

Any guesses as to when these will be out?

We used to used NWA all the time, but now they are gone out of Indy, so we want to try SWA for spring break. With NWA we could book like 10 months in advance (so I would have our airfare by now). I know SWA's dates come out later, but any ideas when we might expect them to start showing up?

I think it will probably be late Sept. to mid October.

I really wish these airlines like SW, JetBlue and Airtran would extend their schedules further. It's such a pain waiting for them to release fares. I know why they do it, but I don't like it.

One of the reasons that SWA does not cancel and change flights very often, except for occasional weather and mechanical issues, is because they don't set their schedule 10 months to a year ahead of time like the other major airilnes do. Just read the number of complaints from people that get their flights changed or cancelled from Delta or US Airways, for example, on this site alone and you can appreciate the fact that SWA only releases about 6 months out at a time.

Looking to fly SWA for the first time since they are now flying out of Minneapolis. We need to fly out January 9, 2010, just one day after the day you mention. Does that mean I have to wait until September 3rd to get a rate for Jan. 9th?

Afraid so....

January 8th is actually the MIDDLE of our trip!!!

We fly out of BWI to MCO on January 6th. And we'll fly back on January 11th.
So we had to book one way tickets for now.

BUT...we got the $49 one way!!!!!!! Super excited about that!!!!

My advice to you is be on the computer the morning of the 3rd, and keep refreshing your computer. Someone on these boards said that they probably would come out at 11am eastern time.....glad I didn't listen...they came out at around 10am!!!! The flight that we already booked is already up tp $77!!! Doesn't seem like too much, but there's 8 of us!!!!!
