There is no guarantee that you'll get a Ding fare for the dates you want to fly. If you know the dates you want, book them and then watch for a Ding fare. If a Ding comes up for your dates and your flights are available at the Ding fare, you can rebook at the Ding rate.
I already have my flight booked for May. When will DING deals appear for May?? Is it safe to cancel existing as soon as I see a Ding rate, so I can use that credit?? How fast do Ding rates sell out usually???
Sw told me when I called and asked that to do this... when I see a ding for me call them when I get to the page I fill all my info into ( credit card # ect) once on that page your flight is held for 10 mins when I am on that page call then and cancle my exsisting flight they will credit it right away to me and and give me a comf # then I purchase it as a ticketless or whatever payment and it will use my credit ... if you cancle first then go and book it it will be gone and you will lose your orig flight

There were DINGs for May last month. I bought 5 tickets ISP-MCO for $44 each way 5/3-5/9 and then on 2/1 I bought 2 more tickets for my BIL. I haven't seen any past 3/31 for the last 3 weeks.
In late January, I got a Ding fare for $39 each way from Philly to Orlando. This is for June 1 - 4.
Good thing I booked, because I haven't seen any Ding fares past March lately.
For our family of 4, the total was $388 r/t non-stop
