I booked 3 RT Ding fares in Aug for Dec. DH just found out he would not be able fly out on the 8th with us. He has to fly out on the 9th. I called SW and asked if I could just change DH's departure date. She said I'd have to change the whole ressie. She said just book DH another ressie on the 9th. And when he doesn't use his ressie on the 8th but does use the original return ressie the will credit us the $39. :confused3 Does that sound right? It's no big deal if they don't credit the $39, I just surprised they would if he was a no show on the departing flight. What do you think???

I had to do something like this also. When you call Southwest, tell them you need to split the record. They should know what this means. They can split your husband out from your record (under same conf. number.) You can then change his departure day, but you may have to pay a higher price. If the agent doesn't know how to do this ask for someone that does.

Coco, I have done this a couple of times! Book the flight on the 9th and then when your husband does not use his "ticket" on the 8th, you will have a credit with SW.The credit will be under your original confirmation #. Joan
