SW: What are the chances?

That special they have right now with the $39 one way...what are the chances they'll extend that into October flights?

If we can't get something good like that, we'll have to fly and I am getting anxious about renting a van because they're almost all gone.

With SOuthwest you ca always count on getting a good price, we have played the waiting game to the last minute and have never spent more than 160 RT. we usually get their great fare of 59 each way, we have gotten the 49 , we live in MA, we fly out of PVD.. good luck! witht he price of gas, it may be wise to fly even if it is 79 each way.. just a thought.

dude disney....I am not sure where you are flying from that has the $39 fares....a lot depends on the market. Seems like Chicago ad the NE always have better fares (probably because there is so much more competition)....if you are looking at Nashville or Indy....I doubt if the $39 fare will be extended....they run that special each cycle at least once, but with pretty restricted dates....and October isn't the slow season to MCO like it used to be. The good news is even though the $38 fare is pretty hit or miss...there is often a $59 fare in those same markets...and that has much wider dates usually.

BTW....rental car companiies do not require a deposit to reserve a van....so go ahead and make the van reservation and then you can always cancel it without penalty later if a cheap flight comes up.

I could have cried when I saw the $39 fare (that's what I've been waiting for) was only for travel thru 09/29/05! We leave on the 30th!! Any ideas why they just went through the 29th? I sure hope that they will offer it again for my dates.
