Yes!! I am excited too! SWA can really stick it to you when there is no competition. Very sad to lose Airtran though.
I just checked, and Spirit will start service in May 2011. I found $49 each way for our June 2011 trip. Have to pay for bags, but not $200 worth!
Virgin will fly from DFW to LAX and San Diego only, but that will be great for DL trips!
