I have always assumed the pricing was the same whether you purchased a round trip vs. two one-ways, but now I'm not so sure. The last several days, the flight I've been watching is consistently less on the return leg if I purchase it as a round trip vs. if I just purchase it as a one-way. Maybe it's just a glitch, but has anyone else noticed the same thing?

:) Nope it has been the same no matter how I look at it for us out of New Orleans. We are thinking about just driving this year. I thought the prices would come down but they haven't.

I noticed that too! I was trying to change one leg of a roundtrip flight- when I checked the flight round trip it was $148, when I checked the exact same flight as one-way, it was $142.

Yes, we've experienced this with Southwest. I've also noticed that if I'm searching for 2 people, the prices are sometimes one price and then if I change my search to 1 person, the prices lower a bit. I have booked my DH and I on seperate reservations and by doing two one way segments before because of this. No issues.

SW prices have always varied by how many people, but if they are joining the crowd and giving different one way VS RT prices that will very disappointing and continues them looking more and more like just another legacy airline

I am also encountering the price going up for two people, as opposed to just one person. I assumed there was only one seat left at the lower price. But are you saying you bought one ticket at the lower price, then purchased the second one separately and it was still the lower price?
