SW & Rain?!

I looked up the weather for monday June 8 and it says storms...So will Sea World still be ok to see?! We have reservations for Dine with Shamu also!

I would also like to know about this... How the rain and storms affect SW?

Many of the attrations at SW are inside, so the hardest part if getting from attraction to attraction. If you're lucky enough to get scattered showers that day, you may even be able to get on the roller coasters.

It will depend on how bad the storms are that are coming in. Dizzy to sporadic rain will be OK. Heavy rains - the outdoor shows will probably not run as well the coasters and if the kids are young the Shamu play area would not be recommended.

We are in the summer pattern. This time of the year rains/storms won't last all day unless a tropical storm/hurricane is near.

Rains usually are just in the afternoon and don't last more than an hour or 2 max. The sun will even shine during some of them or come right back out the minute the cloud moves on.

If there is lightning they won't do a shamu, clyde, or Blue Horizons show during the storm. As soon as it clears, the shows will go according to schedule. There are lots of things to do inside or go have a long lunch during the rain. We tend to head to the manatees or the penguin house. What could be more fun than being stuck watching the puffins and penquins. <g> We usually spend a good long time watching them anyway. <g> Great place to go when it is really hot outside too. There is plenty of floor space to sit out of the way to just rest and cool down, too.

Lets see places to go by location you are in when it starts to pour or storm.....
Blue Horizon area----Manatees or underwater dolphin viewing area.

Clyde and Seamore area-----Penguins, shark encounter or Voyagers for a meal.

Shamu Stadium area-----Wild Arctic( nice and cool down in the bear/walrus area too so makes a good retreat from the sun on hot days.
