SW pricing-

I'm trying to book a cheap flight and screwed up yesterday when SW had $66 flights (from Philadelphia using my $25 code) Now flights are even more than they were before that deal. Is there a certain day or time where they lower prices? Im booking end of Aug. Looking only at the wanna get away prices.

I just came across this situation last weekend. I have been looking at two different weeks Nov. 13-19 & Dec 11-17. Last Sunday morning I was looking at SW's website. This was before noon. SW for Nov. 13th had the price at $69(From PIT). Well my DH & I were still not sure about a vacation. So we decided to go ahead with our daily errands & then look later at the website. Well early Sunday night I went back on & the price went up $20. I was disappointed but I got up Monday morning and checked before noon. The flight went back down to $69. I booked Nov. 13-19. I couldn't past it up. Keep trying!

One leg of my flight was $123 yesterday then $89 this morning. I immediately made the change, searched again, and they were back up to $123. I feel like I got a deal! Just by checking a couple of mornings a week, I have saved $138 total on 3 tickets. That will be a nice start on next year's vacation.

You could take a look at the Bing Price Predictor (www.bing.com/travel) to get a feel where tickets prices could be headed for your dates. I don't think it includes Southwest but it's a good general gauge of price volatility for your particular dates.

Sign up for the SWA email notice of sales. They typically begin on Tuesday and end on Thursday, subject to availability. They sometimes have other sales, as well.

thanks we are signed up, but yesterdays deal came from me searching- it wasn't emailed to me. I've been checking rates everyday-

Last night our prices were $182 for 8/15 Orlando to Hartford, they were the same price this morning. Just now I went on and the price had dropped to $161!! You just have to keep checking at various times of the day and night, if you have the time and want to save money. We have a pretty good credit adding up for next year already.
