SW Prices don't seem to be dropping !

right now SW out of BDL is both higher than Delta (even with the bag fee) and has much less desirable times. But I have found in the last 4 Sept trips, the best fares come out mid to late June. So I watch both airlines every day including checking on how many seats remain. Flights are $114 OW - hoping for under $100.

Early-August trip here.. I was watching PVD/BOS to MCO and it wasn't great. PVD was $139 one-way per person, and BOS was $179ish.

Ended up booking BOS->Baltimore for $60 one-way per person. I booked one ticket from Baltimore->MCO at $98, I am hoping that I will get some credits during a price drop so I can book the other tickets from Baltimore->MCO with the credits.

You are booking separate tickets BOS/BWI and BWI/MCO? That is risky. If your first flight is late, you will be a no show on the second, they would not consider it a connection. You also would not be able to check luggage straight through.

The flights are on different days, otherwise you're completely right. We are spending a few days in Baltimore before going on to Orlando.

Wow, just checked our SWA flights, hoping to get a credit but In fact, our flight down to Orlando was 89.00 nonstop is now $134.00 and our flight home we paid 134.00 non stop is now $150.00.

Man I could kick myself...about 4-6 weeks ago mine were $69. ea way, I waited for 2 days and they were still good so waited for the 3rd, when I went to do it, they had gone up to $104. there and $124. return, then the $124 went to $134, then on sunday it went to $104. I check 20 times a day..... This morning I checked and both ways went up to $114. Now in saying that.....here in Canada they are wayyyyyy more expensive. The taxes alone run anywhere from $230-$240 so I am still doing not bad with $997. and our dollar is par.

Hey!! We are going July 23rd-Aug 6th, but am willing to go July 22 (that was when the $69. was for and I was all set to book Friday morning (weeks back), and they were gone......boo hoo! Of course they have great prices for June cuz I am not going then.... My neighbour actually works at the airport and is trying desperately to get me a deal but the deals she is getting are not that good. I dont want to wait much longer but dont want to keep bugging her....hee hee...anyway "apparently" there is suppose to be a sale coming out on airtransat at 10:30 today????????? So I will see when she calls me....

Too bad you missed the $104 that SW had offered for like three days at the end of March, but if you were planning to stop in Baltimore anyways, I guess that wouldn't have helped. I'm so glad that I jumped on those now! I booked MHT, but could've done PVD, we live about equally away from each airport.

They keep offering dings for PVD and MHT for June, I'm hoping for a Ding for July!

After weeks of searching and with no luck on SW, I finally got a decent fare on Continental. This is the first time they have been lower than SW to MCO from here!!

I am still watching my flights...all the cheapest ones for the day are steady at $139 each way, but the ones I picked jumped from $189/$139 to $211/$152 for the trip. $363 for late August!

In my spreadsheet where I'm tracking fares I have a notes column for each day's entry. In this one I simply put LOL.

My sister told me not to check the prices after I booked. Did I listen to her? Nope. I checked and , yup, they went UP.. $27 since Monday morning ( RT-out of Philadelphia). I'm glad I booked them.

Check them again I just got $59 mid week flights from Manchester to Orlando!!!!

Why wouldn't you check? Southwest gives you credit if the price goes down? That's why I'm still checking mine.
