SW mobile boarding passes...

I thought this was pretty cool too! Just checked in for my flights this morning and hadn't seen the mobile boarding passes before.

This would be very convenient, especially when a printer is not readily available. However, I have seen where mobile bar codes have a hard time being scanned, due to glare or something like that. In which case it brings the line to a screeching halt and people behind get irritated.

Does anyone know how the TSA Security check works with this? I'd love to have the mobile passes for DD7 and I on our upcoming trip (September) but I don't want to have any issues with security!

I can only guess the the SW mobile boarding passes will work similar to other airlines mobile boarding passes. At PHL when I used a mobile boarding pass, TSA had a scanner and scanned the pass, similar to the way they look at the paper ones

It works the same way as a paper pass. They just scan your phone rather than a piece of paper. Same at the gate.

Thanks for the heads up :thumbsup2

DD and I are leaving for a non-Disney weekend trip after finals and it is nice to know this is an option. :goodvibes

I haven't flown in situations where many passengers had these, but the ptential downside that I see is what happens when the scan won't take, or when a passenger's phone dies 5 minutes before boarding, ESPECIALLY if the passenger is the only person in a group carrying a phone.. (How does that work, anyway, if you have multiple BP's on one phone? Are they all on the same screen so you can scroll, or do you have to go back and forward through screens to access more than one?)

I'm a belt & suspenders kind of girl when it comes to travel documents. If I was asked to use this I would print out a hardcopy from the kiosk just in case. As I prefer to put my phone away in my carryon when I fly, so that I won't misplace it, I'd rather not have to take it it out for boarding when my hands are full as it is.
