Okay.. SW is only booking out to December 13th right now.. If I put in the dates of leaving Nov. 28th and returning Dec. 10th, I can get the $110 Fun Fare..

BUT - if I put in Dec. 4th (or any date after that up until Dec. 13th) - ONE WAY to Orlando - the ONLY fare they show is the Refundable Anytime of $172. Yet if I put Dec. 4th and RETURN on Dec. 13th the Fun Fare of $110 is there again..

I have to make up my mind SOON.. Right now the only way we can get the Fun Fare is to leave on Nov 28th and return on Dec. 10th.. However, if we could book BEYOND Dec. 13th for our return flight that would work for us too..

Any ideas how I should handle this?

Fun fare is sometimes only good for round trip. That is why you are having that problem. And.....probably more information than you will ever need. :)

Wow - that IS a lot of info!! LOL

So - do you think I should wait for a new special that will run beyond Dec. 13th?

The answer to that question is in your hands: What dates do you want to go? If you are happy to go Nov. 28-Dec. 10, then by all means, book that. If you really prefer to go later and return later, then wait.

SW doesn't have any change penalties, book your R/T NOW but change your return flight later. You may have to pay more than $110 for your return flight but there won't be ANY change fees.

I think, in order to change her return later she has to book the entire reservation over again, unless one of those wonderful SWA customer service agents can do it over the phone.

But, having said that, I think she should book it now.

Although I don't suggest it, you get the credit even if you don't show up for your flight. She could actually change her return flight after she arrived in Orlando.

I agree, she might have to change her reservation over the phone and MIGHT NOT get double RR credit (although I think SW would work with her).

yes, yes she could change when she got to orlando. I am sure SWA will work with her. They are so easy to get along with.
