We usually drive to Disney during President's Week to avoid the high air fares. This past year both kids got car sick so DH is hesitant to drive again. Anyone know about how much fares will be to fly from NY to Orlando that week? I know it will be expensive, just curious about how much? I was thinking about $300 per person each way (in which case I will work on convincing DH to drive again).

We usually go every February and fly from Massachusetts over school break. This past year we did use SW and wound up flying out of Manchester, NH. We paid $180 RT nonstop per person.

BUT....I had to be on the computer the moment they released those fares because within an hour, they had gone up significantly. I'm talking like $180 each way! It was insane!!!

I had also researched all the surrounding airports since we can fly out of Boston, Providence, Hartford, Manchester and even White Plains. I found that Manchester had the lowest prices and immediately jumped on those flights.

If you can't be on the computer that day, I think you will wind up paying a lot more since they only sell so many tickets at the lowest price and then they go up from there.

Good luck to you!!! Hope this info helps!

Thanks. I read that the Feb. fares are being released on Aug. 17. if they are I can be on the computer immediately. We go away Aug. 20 so if they aren't released until then, I amin trouble.

Last year we went President's week and the fares were expensive. Almost 600 per person. I hope you have better luck this year.:)
