Do Friday morning flights ever get DINGED or go on Sale. I have read Thanksgiving day and the day after tends to be slow. We are going from Buffalo to Mco. I need 8 tickets and $147 is too high for o/w and I do not want any more credit!

I keep getting Dinged for flights til the end of Oct. When will they DING the next set of dates, will Nov 24 be included or will it be blacked out?

Any insight from previous Thanksgiving experiences would be appreciated.

We're flying the day after on SW too! I haven't gotten a ding, but I keep checking the rates daily. I did catch it dropped to $99 each way and lowered our fair by $120 . . . Keep watching . . .

You should get a ding but it'll probably book very fast. We left for Disney last year on Thanksgiving weekend from Albany. We were supposed to leave on Saturday but got a really great ding ($40pp). All the Saturday flights were booked and the only thing left was the 4:00pm flight on Friday that changed planes in Baltimore. So that's what we did. We were able to get a direct flight home the following Saturday for the same price.

Good luck!

SW is killing me. Just keep waiting and waiting and waiting.......Dings up to Nov. 15. Whats up with that? Don't they normally release them on a 1 month basis? I need a DING for November 24! Just venting. Jetblue $59 connecting flight is looking real good right now.

Are your flights still showing all fare classes open? If not, then you may be risking it waiting on a Ding. (So for example if all that is left is the full fare seat, your odds aren't good)

I just booked my flights for the day after Thanksgiving. I paid $99 each way. I got nervous about waiting for a DING and decided to book now.

My fares for all classes is still available after plugging in 8 people. My only concern is that the day before which is Thanksgiving is booked up. Up until the last few days they were still available. Here is my choices, what should I do?

Southwest $147 direct/best time/early am/less than 3hours travel time
AirTran $97 stop/Atlanta-change planes/early am/arrive 1.5 hours later
JetBlue $59 -Thanksgiving day/one day earlier/stop JFK/ endure 6 hours travel midday/must take extra time off.

We have 4 adults, 2 senoirs and 2 children (3,9) on a cruise leaving on Saturday.

I just feel a bit nervous since we have passed final payment on our cruise. We have our return flights for $59 from southwest booked way back in August. With that sale I have a $300 plus credit burning a hole in my pocket ready to use.

I would love to use up my credit; but if I book now and prices drop that will result in more credit again. Hmmmm!?!?

We flew out on SW from RDU the day after Thanksgiving last year and we got a GREAT ding in September for that travel. We got $28 each way!!!!  :thumbsup2 :cool1: :cool1: I couldnt believe it. We got 8 tickets for $599!! :yay: I caught the ding right when it hit my computer- my lucky day. I have been waiting for a ding for my Dec. flight for this year and have gotten impatient and worried I might not get a good fare with SW, so I booked Allegiant out of our home airport for $69 each way. It makes me crazy that they dont fly into MCO, though and so now I have to get a car service which adds on $200 plus to our trip so maybe I should have waited for SW, but couldnt stomach anymore waiting. Our drive to RDU is a little over 3 hours, but Allegiant flies out of our city so we either drive extra before (to RDU) or after (from Sanford to WL) our flight. Hope I made the right decision!!

Did anyone get a great DING for a few days after T'giving? We're trying to decide if we should visit WDW the week after T'giving or 2nd wk. in Dec. (we'd fly out of philly)

Last year I could not use my FF certificate to fly on Friday or Sunday after Thanksgiving. We used them on the Saturday.

Dont know if this helps, but it seems to me they would not block those days out and then ding them.
