SW being added to ME?

Has anyone else heard if SW will be added to ME? During my May trip, the CM at POP Luggage Assistance overheard me saying that it would be great if SW was a participating airline, and he told me that it will be soon. Has anybody heard this, and if so, do we know when "soon" might be? Am returning in September, flying SW, and I would love to know if it will change by then.

An aside -- Not sure when it will happen but if and when it does, you will probably still want to get your boarding pass ca. 24 hours in advance (in order to get "A" boarding passes) rather than at resort check out baggage check in time.

I have a toddler & pre-board, so I'm not concerned about that. For me, it's more about being able to check my luggage in at the hotel & not have to lug it through the airport.
