SW availability

Does anyone have any experience with flights opening up within 30 days of travel dates? We are booked on the low internet rate for a Sat pm flight and would like to leave Sun night instead but the only availability is at the higher rate. We are not willing to pay more so will stick with what we have if nothing comes up but do they open up more internet price seats as the date gets closer to fill the plane?

I've had luck a few times, but never on a sat or sun travel day. Just keep checking, I would check about 5 times a day and then one day I lucked out!!!
