SW and Gate Checking Strollers

I see this is a free service, but I was wondering how gentle they are with these items. Do I need to get a travel bag? We have a double baby jogger city micro with a simple half fold. I really don't want it beat up, but its not brand new either. Will we have to wait long to pick up that item when we get off the flight? It should be right at the gate as well correct? We won't have to get it from baggage claim?

Thoughts?

They are not very gentle. I would invest is a cheap bag. I can usually find the re gate check ones for under $20. It should come up on the jetway. I've had them waiting for me and have had to wait 15 minutes to get it. It really depends

I never used a bag and never had any problems. My stroller was always fine. It does take a few minutes to get the stroller, but by the time we waited for it and got to the bag check the luggage usually was just beginning to come out.

I've never used a stroller bag on our stroller and never had any issues. It has always been waiting for us when we get off the plane.
