Who has flown with SW and had 1 stop but did not change planes?

How does it work? Are you allowed to switch seats once everyone deplanes? How long are they usually at the 1 stop location?

Yes, you will be allowed to change seats after everyone finishes deplaning.

The stops are usually for only a short period.

The passengers for your second leg will generally start boarding a few minutes after the last passenger deplanes. You'll have time to switch seats.

Is there a way to figure out where the plane is landing? It doesn't seem straight forward to figure out by clicking on the flight #.

Once you select your flights and click continue, the next screen showing the total cost and where the flight departs and arrives from shows where it will be landing at.

For us its stopping in Birmingham.

I just hope there is a summer airfare sale. I know I'm spoiled by my $165 round trip fare I had last Sept. which now only covers 1 way. :(

After landing an announcement will be made for the thru passengers to stay seated until a headcount has been taken by the flight attendant. After that time you may get up, use the restroom, stretch your legs, change seats.

It generally doesn't take much more than half an our or so, it goes very quickly.

Thanks, it seems like that will probably be the flight I choose unless the non-stop flight I've been looking at drops.

These flights are actually cheaper then when you get off the plane because there is some fee (can't remember which fee it is maybe 911) that is charged per leg but you are considered to be on 1 flight instead of 2. Figured this out recently. Its about $5 (can't remember if it is $5 onway or roundtrip) not a lot but still something.

Yeah, I've notice that when you fly into other airports you get charge a few different fees.

Keep checking fares every day!!! Yesterday morning, my flights were $165 each way--Last night around 5:30 they dropped to $109 each way!! This was for late July from Kansas City to Orlando.:cool1:

Yeah, that's when I saw my fare go up. SW usually raise or drops rates on Tues / Wed.

Think I'm going to buy it as is and get the credits when it drops.
