Suzy and Perla Skip the Lines Again: From roughing it to the lap of luxury

OK, just looked a pictures again. Clearly, McQueen has a spider tattoo on his right hand. Mystery solved. Real mystery: how did I not notice this for the entire day I was with him while he had that tatto? Answer: I am often very clueless and not at all observant. Especially while being overstimulated at WDW. And especially while trying to not lose any children, collect a zillion fastpasses, and keep those stupid pink sashes on my own children.

Looks like so much fun! I wish they'd had this when my kids were younger. My son would have loved the Pirate League when we first went to WDW when he was 3.

Unfortunately by the time we went back again neither he nor his little sister were into the dressing up anymore (youngest dd wasn't even interested in BBB at only 9 years old :scared1: ).

I was slightly concerned that we had waited too long for this experience as it seems the huge majority of BBB girls I see made up are in the 5-7 year old range. But when my two girls were that little we really didn't have the money. And then when Ariel was 5 I had Boo and we waited for her to be ready, which I thought might have been a mistake. But, I was wrong! Our kids, from Jack-Jack to Mulan, were all great ages. So clearly you can experience BBB and PL from 3 all the way up to 36 (Donald!)

So I cannot really say he enjoyed this experience. Really, I would say he endured it with the intellectual knowledge that it OUGHT to be fun. He didn't hate it,

Interestingly, this was Buzz's favorite thing we did this week. Not that he could really care less whether he was dressed like a pirate or not, but Buzz knows every activity and attraction that can be done on Disney Property. He pores over Disney guide books and knows that place like the back of his hand. So this was one more thing he could cross off his "list." Pirates League - done!. Next up, Illuminations cruise, Keys to the Kingdom Tour, and Parasailing :rotfl:.

Also, wanted to add, Donald had to sit with that makeup on his eyelids with eyes closed for 20 minutes:eek:. He looked freakishly cool, but if you are interested in getting this look for your kids be forewarned.

So last night's chapter left you in the middle of our Pirate's experience.

And this chapter starts you right off with one finished boy: Buzz
IMG_1341.jpg

Buzz is VERY fair skinned. Truly, a pasty white. Especially in March after an Ohio winter. Truth be told, this make-up never really looked that great on him. Suzy kept pointing out in disgust all the other boys we saw this week made up as pirates that have dark skin and how much better they looked than her pale boys. And really, it was true.

We saw this one latino boy, I almost took a picture of him but that would have perhaps freaked his parents out, but he looked awesome! He could have been in POTC4 he looked so good. Suzy was so super jealous. Oh well. She had her chance. She is the one that chose to marry a blonde.

Once you are made into a proper pirate they have you say an oath. It ends with a fist bump. I loved this part. The pirate makers were very cool with it:
IMG_4784.jpg

It was no pixie dust sprinkling, but it was cool just the same.

And here was Donald done:
IMG_4785.jpg

He now is wearing the official PL bandana. His shirt I made. It says, "Instant pirate, just add rum." He had let his beard grow a bit and then they added eyeliner dots to it. The guy who did him up kept getting all kinds of compliments from the other pirate makers about his fabulous beard drawing skills. He finally confessed that it was more of a beard "enhancement."

Jack-Jack took the oath very seriously, since he REALLY wanted to become Captain Jack Sparrow. But he wasn't really very good at vowing with his right hand up. So Suzy just held it for him. Does that still count? If someone holds up your right hand while vowing, is it still and official vow?
IMG_4787.jpg

Look how adorable he is!
IMG_4788.jpg

Since Jack-Jack was last, his oath was the most public. I stood on the crate in the middle of the room to grab this shot as I just thought it was so cool that his oath was officially "witnessed" by us all:
IMG_4789.jpg

So after everyone was made up and the oaths had all been taken, they handed out the swords. The pirate maker who did this was a tall guy. And his speech that went along with the sword passing out was long and very repetitive and went something along these lines:

"I'm going to give you plastic swords. And you will not hit anyone with these swords. You will not have sword fights anywhere in this park. You will not hit your parents with the swords. Or your brother or sisters. You will not be playing with the sword and have it accidentally hit a stranger."

I'll let you fill in the next 5 paragraphs. Just imagine every circumstance where an 8 year old boy might have a desire, while dressed as a pirate and being officially sworn in as a pirate and then handed a sword, to hit hit someone with the sword. They were all mentioned. At least three times.

Does this speech stop 8 year old boys from hitting people with the swords as soon as they walk away from this speech?

No, no it does not.

After the handing out of the swords, they then entered a secret room for the official, official pirating certificate/photo session/you are really a pirate now part.

It was at this time that I left to set up the Main Street Bakery second breakfast I had bought. Mulan, Boo, Ariel, and Charming all went with me. I set everything out and told them to have at it but to leave some for the other kids and Donald as I wasn't sure if Suzy's family would want to eat or not.

I then went to get Big Thunder FP's only to realize that I didn't have the AP's. So I went back into the PL to the secret door and knocked. Well, I'll tell you. They were not ok with this. I almost was sent into the dungeon. I guess the secret door is meant to be truly secret. And I didn't have the password. Instead I said, I need to talk to my sister in the purple tye die shirt. The secret door pirate keeper then hollers,
"Some terrible wench is trying to get in to our secret pirate's lair. What should I do???"
After some waiting, I was allowed to get the AP's from Suzy. But I was informed to get away from their door.

I think the CM's at the Pirate's League have a tricky job. Because Disney is asking them to be pirates. And pirates, as you may well know, are not really very nice. But Disney is also asking them to be CM's. And CM's ARE nice. This is kind of tricky. I thought they did a fine job. They clearly were enjoying themselves. Lots of smiles and bantering. Lots of G-rating name calling. Lots of threats of stealing treasure.

All the while trying to be nice CM's.

So, I dashed off to get FP's. The AP's, of course, didn't work. So a CM helped me.

When I came back, everyone was all done.

Donald came over to eat his breakfast. I had him close his eyes:
IMG_0354.jpg

IMG_4791.jpg

Do pirates wear glasses?
IMG_1347.jpg

Suzy and Milo finished paying and doing whatever it was they were doing, and we finished eating. I had had no idea what amount of food to get. Ended up I got almost the perfect amount. I had one cinnamon roll left. I just put it in the stroller and Donald ate it the next morning for breakfast.

We then knew we had to ride POTC. Duh! Total no brainer.

On our way in, we stopped to get our picture with Pirate Goofy, who I hear has been replaced with the girl from POTC4 now. Someone new to meet in June!

As we walked up to meet Goofy, Buzz, forgetting all about the longwinded sword speech, taked his sword to mock hit Pirate Goofy. Well, Pirate Goofy was not born yesterday. And he stands outside the Pirate League everyday. He wrenched sword out of Buzz's hand like nobody's business. And though the happy expression on Goofy's face never changed, the guy inside that happy face glared at Buzz. I just know it.

P3200058.jpg

P3200059.jpg

As far as I know, our POTC ride was uneventful. Everything worked. No flash photography that I know of. No shenanigans.

On the way out, we lingered in the store as Suzy and Milo were looking for a true pirate hat. But there wasn't the right kind of hat. You know, that was weird. They had Indiana Jones type hats in the POTC store. But no Jack Sparrow hats. Why is this? This was VERY strange. Seriously, we looked high and lo. Wouldn't you think that at least half the boys who ride POTC would like a Jack Sparrow hat when they came out?

Not finding a hat:
IMG_4793.jpg

And we paused, just briefly, to get a shot of the "real" Jack Sparrow:
IMG_1353.jpg

I then went to get Big Thunder FP's only to realize that I didn't have the AP's. So I went back into the PL to the secret door and knocked. Well, I'll tell you. They were not ok with this. I almost was sent into the dungeon. I guess the secret door is meant to be truly secret. And I didn't have the password. Instead I said, I need to talk to my sister in the purple tye die shirt. "Some terrible wench is trying to get in to our secret pirate's lair. What should I do???"
After some waiting, I was allowed to get the AP's from Suzy. But I was informed to get away from their door

I cannot stress to you how traumatic that this was to the CM pirate lady inside the secret room.:scared1: We were in a "secret room", she was a photograper taking pictures of the newly made pirates. No cameras are allowed in here and there are various props - a huge spinning globe, a treasure, anchors, etc. And there is a secret door with a cork that pops out making a peephole. Well, while she took pictures of one pirate she would assign the other pirates to be on the look-out at the secret door. She had just set up jack jack looking through a peephole when that secret door mysteriously started to open!!!!!!!!! You would have thought we were actually in the middle of a big pile of smuggled contraband:laughing:. After Perla left with the aps, she continued to talk about the fright of having someone come in that door.:lmao:

Suzy and Milo finished paying and doing whatever it was they were doing,

The Pirate's League is $29.99. That includes everything you've seen and heard here. It doesn't include the pictures taken in the secret room. They are $14.95. And if you buy one portrait for that amount, they will load all the pictures the took in their entirity onto your photopass card. It's not a bad deal except I have 3 boys, and only McQueens looked good. McQueen really wanted his (btw, he had lost that tooth a couple days before, so his smile is the real deal. It added to the effect, I think. They actually include fake, rotten teeth as part of the Pirate's League, but he didn't need any. ;)) So I made a deal with McQueen, that if we didn't buy his portrait, I would buy him something of equal value in the Pirate Shop after POC. He bought a gun. :rotfl2:

Suzy and Milo were looking for a true pirate hat. But there wasn't the right kind of hat. You know, that was weird. They had Indiana Jones type hats in the POTC store. But no Jack Sparrow hats.

There WERE plenty of adult Jack Sparrow hats. But I wanted one for Jack Jack since he was the TRUE Captain Jack Sparrow.:thumbsup2 But they had none that would fit a 3 yr old. So he settled for a little POC play set with 6 figures that he played with for the remainder of the trip.

the girls look so sweet all done up! and the boys look sinister (?) as pirates, it's meant to be a compliment not sure it's the right word.

definately sounds like it was worth the cost for your family, looking forward to seeing more photos

Just thought I'd add my two cents, that that donald was pretty cool! I bet people stopped and gawked at him all day :goodvibes:scared1:

Thanks! It was expensive and we thought long and hard. But I think both Suzy and I would still have done it as it was worth the money. However, I would do it again. Suzy would not. For her it was a one shot deal. The face make-up was just more than she could handle once it started smearing and getting all over everything. She felt her boys looked a lot more like children that have never seen a bath than actual pirates.

My girls looked darling all day. And Boo should have been in a Disney Memories commercial. Boo is such a messy, play out in the dirt child, Suzy even quipped, "I didn't know she could BE beautiful!" :rotfl:

Just thought I'd add my two cents, that that donald was pretty cool! I bet people stopped and gawked at him all day :goodvibes:scared1:

Hi sweetie!!! Hey, everybody, my honey is on board! Guess I better be careful about any whining I was planning on doing about us getting lost tomorrow ;)

People DID stop and gawk at us. I knew before we went into this day I would be the lame one. And indeed, I was. When Suzy and I were discussing what to wear and if we should put on special make-up or something one of her boys said, "You should go as moms!" Well, THAT's exciting. :lmao:

And, indeed, I did go as a mom. And it was lame. Cause my girls were blow away gorgeous and Donald was not too shabby at all in his cool beard and Johnny Depp eyes. And people DID gawk. Cause they looked awesome. Although, I'm just gonna say before one of YOU does and I'm all insulted: Donald was not transformed into Captain Jack Sparrow via this make-up. But he was fairly impressive in his own way. :cloud9::hug:

When last I left you, we were exiting POTC after a VERY exciting morning. We had only had to stand in the standby line for 5 minutes on a 10 day (according to Touring Plans) because it was still only 11:45 am, shockingly. And Adventureland never fills up early in the morning.

And we had spent time playing with swords and hooks and hats in the store. And we had had a little snack. And we had continued on our quest to acquire as many FP's as possible in any given day.

Our next stop was the Magic Carpet Rides. I'm a bit embarassed to tell this story as Suzy doesn't know it. But it was a pretty big part of MY day so I'm gonna tell you and hopefully she is OK in any part I had in this:
IMG_1354.jpg

Yes, that is McQueen glowering from his stroller.

So, as Suzy was checking out of the POTC store McQueen was still bugging her about, what I am to assume, her not buying him the pictures and whatever else he had decided to be annoyed about. And then she yelled at him, you know in a Mom way (not a scene cause we don't really "yell" but you know what I mean. Verbal discipline. Cause he deserved it. This made him cranky.

Well, I ended up in line with him at the Magic Carpets. It was maybe a 10 minute wait. And he complained about EVERYTHING! I mean seriously, pick a topic, he told me how horrible we all were, and life in general. Whatever. As he talked I made a calculated decision. Because McQueen and I have a VERY different relationship than his mom and him. She and he butt heads often and he fights with her like you cannot believe. She is not allowed to say one thing without him going off.

But I am allowed to tell him stuff and he takes it from me. It could be the exact same wording and everything. To her, no listening. To me, some respect.

So I decided I was gonna let him have it. I put my hand out to stop him from moving forward with our crowd (so they wouldn't hear) and I bent down low so I could have good eye contact and no one else would really know what had gone on. And I said,

"You need to shut up. You are being an unappreciative child that no one wants to be with. Your father works two jobs and your mom works day and night so that you can have a nice house and clean clothes and food in your belly and get to go to Disney World 3 times in one year. How many kids do you know that have even ever BEEN to Disney World? They just spent tons of money doing something absolutely NOT necessary just because they thought you might like it. Because they happen to love you and want to make you happy. And are you happy? NO! You are never happy unless everything goes your way all the time. And I am SICK of it. It breaks my heart to see your parents work so hard for a kid that doesn't appreciate it. And unless I see a BIG change in your attitude. Unless my ears HEAR you say, "Thanks Mom, Thanks Dad, I love you guys," then I am going to glare at you for the rest of the day. Every time you look at me, I'll be glaring, and you will know EXACTLY why."

And I said it in my very best, really mean, mom whisper.

Now, had this been Suzy, McQueen would have had a royal fit and the day would have been ruined for sure. So I was taking a pretty big risk and relying on the fact that normally McQueen won't talk back to me.

And fortunately for me, or I would have been the one being glared at by Suzy , McQueen started to say something back and thought better of it. And was silent.

A few minutes later we were in our little area and I took my favorite picture of the day:
IMG_1148.jpg

Mulan, who had been aware of what was going on behind her, asked McQueen to ride with her:
IMG_4794.jpg

And Ariel rode with Buzz:
IMG_4795.jpg

IMG_4796.jpg

We also had a Photopass photographer taking pictures of us. I can only assume to use in the Magic, Memories, and me show. And we were very photogenic this day. But sadly, Boo and I were fighting over going up and down as she is always allowed to be in control and wasn't appreciative of me trying to get us in a position so we were visible to the Photopass lady, plus Ariel and Buzz only wanted to get squirted by the camel:
Photo0132FourBySix.jpg

When we got off Donald chased Boo around with this plastic snake. Between the snake and the camel Boo was having the time of her life.
IMG_4798.jpg

I wanted to get an awesome picture of my family walking hand in hand from behind. Boo's little dress was so short and cute that I loved her from behind. But sadly there were simply too many people to stage a good picture:
IMG_4799.jpg

IMG_4800.jpg

After this it was time for LUNCH! We headed out towards Cosmic Ray's. It was just about noon-thirty and it was a hoppin'. There is something for everyone here, but you do have to split up to order what you really want. Then wait with your whole party to get seated by a CM at the seating area. With a group our size, in three different lines, this seemed impossible.

But there is a little area to the left (near the bathrooms) of where you order that you don't need a CM to seat you. There isn't Sonny Eclipse, but it is nice and quiet. Donald found a large family leaving just as I was finishing getting the food and helped them clean up and we had enough seats for all. But then we couldn't find Suzy and Milo. I did find Charming but he didn't know where they all were. So after about 2 minutes, we let another family sit at Suzy and Milo's table next to us and left them to their own devices. They had easily gotten a table in view of Sonny. So all was good.

IMG_4802.jpg

I couldn't remember which dessert we liked here so I got both. Turns out with one bite we all remembered. We liked the carrot cake. The chocolate cake was RICH. But Boo thoroughly enjoyed the chocolate one all by herself:
IMG_1151.jpg

When I had walked in here I had been sure it would be a hectic lunch, but instead I had walked right up to Bay 1 with no line at all, easily found a table, and had a peaceful lunch. Because of getting the 2nd breakfast I just got 2 chicken tender meals and we all shared. It was plenty.

What was left of the beard post-lunch:
IMG_1356.jpg

IMG_1357.jpg

Suzy & Milo were finishing up eating so we just played in the Merchant of Venus store. I like to take stuffed animals and make plays for my kids so we did that for awhile and a CM thought it was hilarious and came to help us out. But just as the storyline was taking shape Ariel came back over in a PANIC! She could NOT find her pins. We ripped apart the stroller and discussed where she had had them last. Turns out, they were in her BBB bag hanging on the stroller handle.

Discussing our plans outside Merchant of Venus:
IMG_1358.jpg

While we were all discussing, Donald had wandered off to ride the TTA with Boo. Evidently he had texted me this instead of discussing. Donald isn't much for standing about discussing things. He's an action man. That's why, among other reasons, we rarely stand about discussing things and instead have a planned out step by step itinerary. Burning daylight is frowned on in these parts.

We quickly got him back under control though and he met the Suzy clan at the Buzz FP machines so they could all ride the TTA.

Only Mulan and I volunteered to go with Buzz to ride Stitch. It's on his must do list. But Stitch is stupid. Thus, everyone else went on the TTC.

There is never a line for either of these things, making them a perfect early afternoon thing to do.
IMG_0854.jpg

IMG_1155.jpg

Because this ride is so dark and relatively stupid I never have any pictures of the inside. So I vowed to take at least one picture of Stitch this go round. I succeeded, though how usable it is in print form is another matter:
IMG_1156.jpg

As we walked to the CoP to meet our family Push followed us hollering at the "hairy pirate." Buzz completely ignored him. I thought it was really funny.

After the TTC, I believe everyone other than me, Buzz, and Mulan danced with Chip & Dale at the dance party for a second. On EMH evening nights the party starts early in Tomorrowland and they have dj's playing modern dance music. This truly makes a fun atmosphere. And as we stood in line (for barely 2 minutes) for Carousel of Progress we danced to tunes.

IMG_0858.jpg

Because of the party atmosphere and because we know all the words, we decided to sing along at the CoP. The audience probably had 30 people, of which we were 11. 29 sang along. CoP fans are loyal, loyal fans. One lady, however, who more than likely started the "No talking of rides and attractions" thread did not join in and did not appreciate the 29 of us who did sing. I never was really sure why she wanted it silent. We certainly didn't drown out the show. And by our singing we showed our obvious respect for it. But I now know that not everyone feels this way. There are at least 5 people in the world who would have hated it. One was in there with us. Whoops.

IMG_1158.jpg

After the CoP we split again. Suzy and group took the boat back for some much needed rest time:
IMG_1359.jpg

Buzz, Charming, and my family stayed behind to do the Laugh Floor. I was SOOOO glad we did as I got to be on the show, and Boo got to be BOO! Plus Donald and Buzz both got jokes on.
IMG_4804.jpg

Buzz's joke, if you'd like to steal it and submit it yourselves to 2319 (you, know text your jokes to "23" "19" like the one monster yells and the George gets shaven?) was: "What kind of phone does Mike use? And eye-phone."

You aren't supposed to take any photos in here but I snuck and took a terrible blurry photo of Boo as Boo for this TR but I can't find it. When I do, I'll put it on. I was so excited it was ridiculous.

We also got a few coins:
IMG_4803.jpg

And evidently Boo had seen Push too because this entire afternoon she kept pushing every trash can she saw to see if they talked. I know this is gross and germy but it was HILARIOUS!

On our way out we were about 15 minutes ahead of the parade. So there was an empty Main Street, if you don't mind people staring at you. Guess what? We don't mind at all. In fact, Charming turned to me and said, "Pre-Show!!!" And he and I promptly started dancing and singing loudly as we marched down the middle. A band started playing behind us (on it's own, not cause we were cool) and people kept calling out to Mulan and the other girls saying, "You are gorgeous!!" They BEAMED yet again.

IMG_4805.jpg

At the end of Main Street we paused (not sure why) and a CM came up to Mulan and asked her where she got her costume and who she was. She proudly explained at the Halloween 50% off clearance at Wal-Mart for under $10.00 and that she wasn't playing a character or pretending to be a Disney princess, but was a princess in her own right. The CM was thrilled with this answer and they chatted away about being your own person and doing Disney on a budget.

The parade was about to cut off our exit so we boot scooted quickly across the street. Just as we were exiting, Charming decided he needed popcorn. So we stopped and used 2 snack credits for our ride back.

As we walked toward the boat dock, a purple boat was just pulling up. We decided to hop on and it happened to stop at the Fort first. SCORE!

Just FYI, we took the bus from the boat. Only had to wait 2 minutes for a purple bus to come. It's a VERY easy walk to our campsite from the bus station. ;)

Also, Suzy told me that McQueen had thanked her profusely and charmingly. :cloud9: He did a much better job than what I had demanded and I actually heard him say thank you to her a few times this day.

Coming up? Andy pictures of this that I've left out. And, just how many FP's had we collected this morning anyway?

Instead of correcting my errors so I don't mess everyone up that has already read the above chapter. Like newspapers. This is a retraction post.

First up, we rode POTC at 10:45. Not 11:45. Then the carpets. THEN we split up. Because we had to go back and get our BBB official photos!!!! How on earth could I forget this? We went in to the store and there was no one there so no line! Score!

Boo had to go potty and was being a turkey. Her first photo:
Photo0139FourBySix.jpg

:lmao:

Then her second
Photo0143FourBySix.jpg

I look like the wind has whipped me to death.

So much for family shots.

We then told the Photopass photographer that she loves Donald Duck and he did a great Donald Duck and captured this:
Photo0156FourBySix.jpg

Happy Perla!!

As soon as Boo was done I dashed to the potty with Boo while Donald oversaw Ariel and Mulan. They got a ton of beautiful shots.

OK. So that is the first part of my retraction. My time line was off. It was after this we went to lunch. And while we were doing this, Suzy was getting her AP tickets fixed so they would work again.

OK. Second retraction. People really did say tell my girls they were gorgeous as we walked down the parade route. But as you noticed, once their pictures at the BBB was done, they changed out of their dresses for lunch and our "nap" time. They were going to put them back on for dinner and we didn't want them dirty.

So there is no way anyone could have noticed their dresses, just their BBB hairdo's, make-up and sashes. And there is no way Mulan could have had a conversation about her dress. Except I knew she had. I remembered it and I had video.

So I went and watched the video. I did indeed remember someone in a costume. And Wal-Mart. But here is what really happened:

Donald and Ariel and Buzz went to see Vinylmations in the store while Mulan, Charming and I stood on the corner. This really perky main Street CM comes up to us and she is wearing fairy wings. Mulan is wearing Donald's pirate necklace he bought in 2007. So she asks Mulan where she got it and Mulan says Wal-Mart and then Mulan mentions the dress she was wearing earlier being from Wal-Mart and THEN they have the conversation about Wal-Mart, clearance, and being your own person. And the CM keeps saying, "You're a pirate-princess. That's so cool!" I swear she was about the exact same age as Mulan. Except in an adult body.

Hold on, I'm gonna take a picture of the video and upload it as I can see you all are not understanding who in the world I'm talking about.
d42d5ee4.jpg

So you see? This is the girl. And even AFTER watching the video I don't totally understand except I understand one thing. She was PERKY and Mulan LOVED this conversation.

There ya go.

There are my retractions. Hopefully it all makes sense now.

Charming checking in for first time on the TR. This may have been one of my favorite moments of the whole trip. What made it so great was the fact that when the CoP started, EVERYONE, not just the old mean lady, was looking at our crew kinda weird when we were all singing. However it was great to see the whole crowd slowly warm up to the idea of singing the song, and then belting it out by the end. Now of course, the other reason I loved this whole CoP thing is because it was MY idea. :rotfl2: But hey, the first reason was good too. :)

Welcome, Charming!

Too true. You definitely led the charge on the singing and Milo didn't hurt us either.

And just so everyone knows, it was a sacrifice on Charming's part as he had been diagnosed with bronchitis before we left (and currently has pneumonia!) so he sacrificed his weak voice by singing on CoP and down Main St. He later said that not having a strong voice was his only disappointment of the week. So much fun is sucked out of it when you can't scream on roller coasters and sing along.

Glad to see this is truly a family affair. Charming, glad to see there is still at least one Bengal fan around showing their pride. I thought my Father-in-law was the only one that openly claimed to be a Bengal Fan. Before the Titans came to town in TN I followed them too. That was back when Kenny Anderson was the QB, way before your time.

Looking forward to the next installment, I am guessnig 6 different Fastpass rides!

Your girls look gorgeous after their BBB appointments. I loved your thoughts about girls feeling beautiful. Right now, my 7yo is in a phase where princesses aren't cool so she isn't interested in BBB. I hope maybe in a couple of years when she comes into her own a little more she will consider it again.

I enjoyed your pictures inside the Pirates League. I have never seen the inside before and the theming looks really amazing.

Your comments about singing along in CoP had me laughing. I can't help but joining in either. The song is just so catchy! I'll admit I felt a little guilty after reading that same thread about being quiet in attractions. oops.

OK Donalds "eye" make up is creepy. Really really creepy. I dont mean the eyes on his cheeks but when he closes his real eyes. :scared1:

Glad to see this is truly a family affair. Charming, glad to see there is still at least one Bengal fan around showing their pride. I thought my Father-in-law was the only one that openly claimed to be a Bengal Fan. Before the Titans came to town in TN I followed them too. That was back when Kenny Anderson was the QB, way before your time.

Looking forward to the next installment, I am guessnig 6 different Fastpass rides!

Suzy and I started being fans during the Boomer Esiason era. And we've been dedicated fans ever since. Though I must say this past season I was VERY disappointed and was embarrassed to be a fan. And that comes from a fan that has lived through more losing seasons than I care to remember and has never doubted my loyalty and proudly donned my Palmer jersey.

But this year the players didn't care. They would rather be promoting themselves in other fields than dedicating themselves to their jobs. And that was hard for me to watch. That is why I'm in the Against Cam Newton camp. Do the Bengals need yet another player who would rather be in the spotlight in music/tv/internet than because of his actual football ability?

OK. I'm getting off my Bengals soap box now. Since we are practically the only fans, more than likely no one has a clue what we are talking about. We are loyal fans, through it all. And Charming is a SERIOUS Bengal's fan. Although he lost a bit of his heart to Michael Vick this year. Suzy nearly duct taped his mouth like they do to Steven Tyler because the Vick worship was more than she could take.

And you actually won't believe our final FP count. :lmao::lmao::lmao:

Your girls look gorgeous after their BBB appointments. I loved your thoughts about girls feeling beautiful. Right now, my 7yo is in a phase where princesses aren't cool so she isn't interested in BBB. I hope maybe in a couple of years when she comes into her own a little more she will consider it again.

Thanks about my girls. My girls aren't really into princesses. They are much more about Legos, bikes, Wii games, and art. But I think because we've been going to WDW for years and they've seen the BBB girls they associated it less with "Cinderella" and more with a cool Disney World Experience. And you may have noticed, we're all a little bit loony about Disney.

As for that thread, I couldn't believe it! At first I thought it was a troll trying to start a fight. But then people really do feel that way, clearly. I've been going to amusement parks my entire life and screaming, laughing, and singing has always been a HUGE part of it. From the giant beach balls Cedar Point always had in the lines to the Block Party Bash at DHS amusement parks are practically begging you to let loose and get a little loud and crazy.

That's one of the things we all enjoyed about going during a busier time than our normal late September or early December trips. We've been in CoP and been the only ones. WAY more fun to have 29 people sing with you than be 11 singing by yourselves. 11 people singing is a fun family singing. 29 people singing is a party.

I thought long and hard about that thread and decided that in this particular case, majority rules. And 99.9% of people at amusement parks scream on roller coasters and sing along with the Disney songs. The .1% who dislike that will have to glare at me. Cause I'm with the majority.

Isn't it cool? It's a Johnny Depp thing from the POTC movies. But for some reason it kept reminding me all day of the girl in Raiders of the Lost Ark that has "I Love You" written on her eyelids. He loved it and tried really hard in staged photos to have one with his eyes open, and one with his eyes closed. I totally think this look was worth the money. It was all day entertainment. :)

There were a lot of shushers on this trip. Not only on CoP, but we got shushed later in the trip by a woman on a cell phone standing right next to drum/bongo display area in Mexico at Epcot. I told her "no way, you are standing by a drum display, take your cell phone outside." Also got shushed on the Norway ride for saying "over the falls". Hopefully no shushers are reading this trip report, if you are I have something to say to you....

THERE'S A GREAT BIG BEAUTIFUL TOMORROW, SHINING AT THE END OF EVERY DAY :rotfl:

That thread really surprised me, too. I mean, seriously? No talking at all on rides?

But one good thing did come out of that thread...I saw the link to your trip report. While I may have clicked on it only because it mentioned Fort Wilderness (ok, so I'm a HUGE Fort fan), I'm really enjoying it. Love your writing style!

Donald's face paint was really cool. Kudos to him for being able to sit there for 20 minutes. No way could I do that.
