Took my 2.5 yr old DS to urgent care last night (poor guy has sinus infection - but his ears were clear! Yay!) anyway they always measure height and weight - now he was wearing his sandals - but nurse told me he was 40"!
I almost wanted to measure again because I couldn't believe it - 40" gets him on so many rides and in Disney he will be wearing thicker shoes so he should be fine! We're a couple months out....but look out Star Tours here we come!! :-)

Mine is almost 3 and just about 40" as well! She's always been a 90th percentile child in height!

My girls - especially my oldest was always 90th or above and the 'baby' has typically ranged 75th-90th for his height - we hadn't been there in a while and he always just looks little next to his big sisters! So excited - he loves to ride!!

so lucky! mine are 4 and 5 and they are both at 39 inches :( hoping they can get that magic inch by february!!

Congrats! My 3.5 year old has been stuck on 37.5 since we booked at 100 days. Now we're at 28 and the Mine Train is not looking good.

Awesome! We were actually walking up to star tours to baby swap, but they measured DD (she'll be 4 in Sept) and she was right AT 40"! She was so excited!

I have a very tall (now) 3 yo but she's scared of loud sounds and some characters, so there's a ton of rides she could do when she was 2.5, but we didn't do.

There are also some that are too jerky and rough for someone that young.

Youtube ride throughs were awesome to see if she was able to. We also brought glow sticks and headphones just in case. (She really wanted to go on maelstrom for some odd reason and was fine on it but I doubt she would have rode it twice.)

There was a terrified kiddo being carried off Pooh sobbing hysterically and the parents were laughing at him for being such a baby. :sad1:

Sometimes, I really wonder about parents. I know my kid would probably love all these rides (if he weren't short like his parents), but I don't think I would ever laugh at him for "being a baby".
He likes fireworks and loud noises. I wish my could ride these rides. And that parents understand their kids better.

A CM came over to see what the problem was and I hope for at least the rest of that day, he had a better day.

You've just gotta really know your kid.

My kiddo actually has more than just fear, she has very mild (fortunately) SPD that I work very hard on with her every day. Sounds and textures are her thing. Sounds that are angry, deep, booming, or scratchy voices are terrifying to her. Textures are her calm and cure for sounds.

DD is also a bit of a daredevil. She's going to love this stuff in 5 or so years, but seeing her cry or worry now, in fear, is heartbreaking.
