Sushi???

Ok, best place in Disney to get sushi? The least expensive good sushi, the better... go!

The least expensive sushi is going to be out of the refrigerator section of your resort's grab n go. Never tried it.

They have very good sushi at Tokyo Dining in Epcot. And there's the Kona Island sushi bar in the evening at the Poly. There are others too, which I'm sure other posters will add.

I've had pretty good sushi at Kona at the Polynesian.

Not sure I am a fan of the grab and go... restaurant wise was wondering... my mom has never had sushi and I don't want her first experience to be bad... Don't mind spending some money, but not planning on spending a HUGE amount (Not a $$$ restaurant) especially since we may not have a fridge and may not be buying as much to keep in our rooms to save us some money.... Thanks for the tips so far. Anyone else with info I would love to hear!

The absolute best at WDW is Kimonos at the Swan.

Ca Grill is very good but more expensive but IMO not as good as Swan.

Wolfgang Pucks Cafe at DTD would probably be my 3rd choice.

Next would be the Poly sushi and Tokyo Dining, tied.

Last would be the grab and go.

You can walk from Epcot to Kimonos @ Swan. They are only open for dinner and they have very good sushi. If you have a car, Seito Sushi in Celebration is also very good!

Kimono's is the fanciest/best assortment (and expensive!), Kona is a more limited menu, but I found very tasty things there too, and they both tasted wonderfully fresh!

we are admitted serious and obnoxious snobs. we do not care for the stuff in Epcot at all. very pedestrian/americanized to our palate.

have not made our way to Kimono's as yet.

Cali Grill's sushi is really good. But for price, I thought Kona Island's sushi was really good.

I would say it may also depend on what kind of sushi you are looking for... I'm a huge fan of Tokyo Dining in Japan. The Sashimi and Nigiri just melt on your tongue. The rolls are typical rolls. I think the best bet for your buck is to split a Bento Box on Ginza (as it's pretty hard to mess up a California roll). I usually go here at lunch and it's pretty quick, though, the deck of Japan is my favorite place to watch Illuminations!

I had one of their sushi/sashimi plates last December. I too thought the sashimi and nigiri were very good. I did think that the sushi was bad, very tasteless and not fresh. By the way, I ordered my plate using the Deluxe Dinning Plan so you can get sushi there while using one of the dinning plans.
