When you're at MK would you be willing to pop over to Poly? They have sushi in the cooler at Captain Cook's. I'm not sure how early it gets put in the cooler. The one time we noticed it was early afternoon; we weren't looking other times though.

yakatori house is delicious so if you ever do get a chance to eat there you definatly should but the sushi in captain cookes is good

Overall, sushi at WDW is terrible compared to what you can get in most decent sized cities (even in the midwest). The suchi restaurant in the swan resort is pretty good, and they always have coupons on restaurant.com. I think we got a $50 gc for $25, which made it worth it.

Another vote for Kimonos at the Swan resort. Opens at 5:30pm (so no lunch option).

Good stuff. Very casual.

You can get ok take away sushi from Kona sushi bar at night in Poly lobby.

I'll have to respectfully disagree with this. I wouldn't paint all sushi at WDW with this brush. We LOVE the sushi at Kona Island Sushi Bar and many love the sushi at California Grille (I have no personal experience there so I can't comment). OP was only asking about CS though which is why none of us brought those up.

Kona Island Sushi Bar can make items to go if that's what you're looking for. You can't use dining plan CS credits but you can eat either at the sushi bar or take it to eat somewhere else.

Captain Cooks at the Polynesian and Gasparilla's Grill & Games are two Quick Service locations that sell Sushi.

However I personally think the best Sushi is available at the Polynesian Kona Island Sushi Bar.

The sushi at California Grill is outstanding. I have been ordering it for years and have never been disapointed. I will be ordering it again in October.

Because the majority of sushi is wheat free (excluding the soy sauce packet) I would not be suprised if more places have it in refrigerator sections to accomodate allergies, so resort cs might be a good place to look.

You have to be careful to check for allergens in sushi. When I spoke with a chef at Tokyo Dining around 1.5 years ago he told me that they use a grain based alcohol in their sushi rice and therefore could not recommend their sushi to anybody who is gluten free. Also, the artificial crab meat used in some sushi rolls pretty much always contains wheat plus some of the sauces used in some sushis may contain wheat. Always verify when dealing with allergies.

I've only ever seen sushi in the cooler at the Polynesian. Since sushi is dealing with raw fish, they would have to have an area where they take the correct handling precautions in order to serve sushi at each resort, even in the cooler. I wouldn't count on finding it at other resort. Maybe the Contemporary would have it if they prepare it at CG but that would be the only other resort CS where I would think it would be likely though I've never looked so I don't know if they have it there or not.

I love sushi, I probably have it twice a month. Overall I am not a fan of Disney sushi selections, however California Grill has some fresh, simple, and classic sushi to choose from. Nothing compares to Morimoto here in Philadelphia, but California Grill does a nice job.
