Survivor Thailand! (Possible Spoilers)

WDW2002, sorry about that. Hope I didn't spoil anything for you.

Kbeverina, I thought it was odd everyone got to see the winner's tape. (Nice of Brian to share his drink BTW.)

Brian was cringing to me too. It's such a mental game. He'd been holding his cards to his chest for so long. Didn't he say something about not wanting anyone to know much about him? (something like that)

Ken and Team 9-1-1 on AR2...I don't think any of them could find their way out of a bag. I guess maybe it just takes brawn and not brains to be a cop (I say whispering at the risk of offending many people).

What really surprised me most about the video from home WAS the fact that she showed the piano, and the cars. I don't get it. If My DH was off in THailand, I would not be running around videotaping "stuff", but rather I would be videotaping the kids/me and recapping of family stuff/happenings. Unless she was asked to do a tour. We don't know how long the tape is that they saw, and of course it is all editing. But it really surprised me that she did that.

Well, it did seem like that she thought that he would enjoy seeing "his" piano, or sumpin' like that....

He was squirming, for sure... haha!!! EEK!!!

:) :) :)

I think that the tape was "edited" by the Survivor powers to be... They probably "edited" each of the tapes beforehand so that the tribe member who won, would be uncomfortable... Does that make sense?... I don't think his wife shot 3/4 of the tape about his stuff... I think it was a longer recorded tape and edited that way...

Brian does definitely NOT want it known about his movie career. I think that was what he was referring to. I think his wife's tape was edited to show off his "stuff". As has been pointed out, he sells cars, so of course he's going to have nice cars. Car salesmen can get cars cheaper or often drive demos. If he sells nice cars, he's going to be driving one. And as for the piano, who knows if it was an "easy" purchase for him or something that's been in his family for years?

Brian has been very good about playing the game close to his chest. I'd hate to see him ousted because of what people THINK he has (even we don't know).

I really like Helen, and have to wonder about the editing of the show with her recipes. Is she really doing it all that much? And why all of the sudden for the past 2 weeks/shows has she been doing it? I don't recall seeing that before.

I know that many of you disagree, but I just don't like Helen.
Since the game started, she has just been so judgemental about (what to me) are really "picky" things.
I don't know, maybe it's just the way they have done the editing of her, .....I just can't seem to find anything "likeable" about her.

I do like Jake...and Brian, but I have a feeling after last night's show that they will both be voted off at some time.

I'm with Smee - I don't like Helen either - she just rubs me the wrong way. She seems a little too sure of herself for me. Also, it may seem petty, but what is up with her teeth?! Maybe it is my TV, but they look wierd - maybe she needs the money for some dental work.

It seemed to me that Ken was "directionally challenged" in the immunity challenge. I hope that in his job as a policeman he isn't given directions like "head south" or he might not get there in time!;)

And I thought the same thing about Brian's cars. When I was growing up, we lived next to a man who worked at a car dealership. It seemed like he had a different car every other week, and I always wondered how he could afford them!

I'm afraid that this may be the beginning of the end for the former Sook Jai since it looks as though the old "Chewing Gum" tribe members are going to stick together.

Poor Ken definitely has a disability in the direction department. My DH would have also been stumped on that. Some folks have it and some don't. I really don't think it has anything to do with intelligence. Clay was very good at it, although I don't really like him and wish it had gone differently!! I will miss that particular piece of eye candy!

I thought ALL the castaways looked uncomfortable during Brian's tape. And Brian REALLY looked like he wanted the earth to swallow him up. I thought the tape was VERY strange. And he even apologized BEFORE it started!!

Helen is starting to irritate me as well. But I thought her rendition of "Are You Lonsome Tonight" was kind of sweet.

Penny and Jake better start winning some immunities or they are GONERS.

For some odd reason I want to hear Helen say Tapioca.......

Ouch!!!! Cruel, cruel.... haha!!!

:) :) :)

SSB has to agree that he was also surprised at how well she sang.... :)

Tulirose, any big predictions for next week, yet?

D.kurz & SideshowBob, I thought Helen did a nice rendition of, "Are You Lonesome Tonight" also.

And I was surprised she could sing so well too.

I kinda like Helen even with the recipe talk. I've come around to thinking, it's probably like someone said --- you really don't know how much she has been talking about the recipes (with the editing in mind).

I thought the same thing!

I hope Ken has no aspirations to go into detective work.

Did ya notice Helen when they showed her family?....She looked like she couldn't have cared less until they showed her....CAT....then she went bonkers screaming and crying....What up with that?

I saw Ken on the Early show this morning so I'll clear up the direction thing (I wondered too!). When he pulled the boards out of the sand he didn't realize some of them had three or four directions since the bottom ones were covered with sand. I didn't tape so I can't go back and watch, but I the host made a remark about seeing when he started wiping the sand off the boards to read the whole thing.

He didn't have a whole lot to say. He expected to be voted off, but they voted Ted in hopes that someone from the other tribe would. They mentioned the urine in the cave and when ShiAnn got voted off but he was fairly diplomatic about the whole thing - no new gossip.

What did everyone think about Jake's efforts to prove his tough old guy image? Talk about backfiring. I think people are starting to get really worn out and just aren't thinking clearly. Brian still seems pretty wiley and I think Clay is gaining an edge for the same reason.

It's SURVIVOR DAY!!!

Tonight on an all new SURVIVOR: THAILAND:

After being shocked by the vote at Tribal Council, one Survivor begins questioning a former ally as a secret plot is revealed.

Two tribemates return from a surprise trek away from camp with full stomachs and a suspicious gift.

One tribe member preys on the fears of another in an attempt to gain votes and become the Sole Survivor.

Have to make sure VCR is set for Early Show tomorrow for no matter WHO gets voted off. Missed Ken last week and they only have one part of interview at the internet site. :(

So, how many think Penny will be history after tonight??

I hope so... she is wearing on me... I wish I could get as attached to these survivors as I have in the past but just not feeling it... :( I miss Rodger!! :)

I feel the same way, right now I could care less, I am just watching it for something to watch now.
