~ SURVIVOR Samoa ~ Season 19 ~

I missed the Early Show this morning; does anyone happen to know a link to a clip when Natalie and Russell were on? Thanks. :)

Just watched Russell and Natalie on the Morning Show. Russell again was stating that he was the better player and that Natalie did not deserve the win. I actually felt sorry for Natalie: why, in her moment of glory (getting the check for one million) did CBS bring in Russell?

That's an easy one to answer....because CBS realized the same thing many of us on the boards realize and that was that Russell was the quite obviously the better player regardless of what the jurors' votes were and that without Russell, Natalie was nothing.

I'm glad Russell lost. He was the most irritating, unpleasant person to ever play the game. The way he spoke about the others when the camera was on him alone showed a lot about his character. He didn't like anyone and I'm sure the other players picked up on that.

I think the producers played him up and made it look like he was the best player, but the people who were there were able to judge for themselves without editing. They saw an arrogant person who spent the entire time putting other people down.

I am so glad he lost. It made suffering through a season of his nastiness worth it. :woohoo:

I don't know if it's fair to judge a person's character on how he acts on Survivor. His wife had nothing but good to say about him as a husband and a father. He seemed genuinely broken hearted when he didn't win, and I don't think it was for the money, it was because he was very passionate about the game. I also think it was very classy of him to give the proceeds from his website to St. Jude's.

I am completely appauled with the way Russell speaks of women. He is incredibly demeaning and obviously does not believe that women are equal to men.

As far as Natalie winning the game, I was elated when they read the results and was just waiting for Russell's volcano to erupt. He's such a jerk.

I think true character is shown when they are interviewed during the season without the other players around. That's the time where they can talk strategy and let the viewers know what is going on in their heads.

Russell used this time to put down every person there. He called them nasty names and was very mean. He didn't have to act that way because he wasn't around anyone else. That was the time to show his true feelings. He did and many people are disgusted with the way he put down everyone and called them names.

Oh, I don't think his heart was broken when he lost, I think it was his pride and arrogance.

I completely agree :thumbsup2

Natalie may have won but if the show casts too many players like her it won't last many more seasons. Viewers want to see people play the game, case in point Russell winning the $100000.

Honestly, I wouldn't keep watching if they let people like Russell win, he was good to keep me interested but I never wanted him to win. People like him are just not good models for anyone to follow. He said alot of nasty things about people, he is a liar (case in point...he was a survivor of Katrina) I am glad he lost! Natalie may have been boring and she may not have deserved to win, but anybody would have been better than Russell.

I didn't enjoy watching Russell because all he did was talk bad about people. If he had just been strategic and shut his mouth, then I would have felt differently. I like good, strategic players like Boston Rob. I also like the nice guys like Ethan and Colby, who were some of my favorite players.

I would rather see someone play the game well, then someone call everyone names the entire season. If they continue to cast like that, I won't even bother watching it. I liked watching things like Colby and Ozzy winning competition after competition.

I remember thinking what a bad move Ozzy made by not playing the idol. Russell made the same move and he lucked out. But that was a horrible move and could have put him out of the game right then. I don't think arrogance is a good trait for a survivor player. When you believe you are the best, you underestimate everyone else.

I would love to see Ethan back, but I know he won't be there because he is still battling cancer.
