All of them looked so different, Natalie look better, Russ looked the same, he didn't change much, and Mick, oh I could't even recognized him.
I think we saw one Russel the edited version of the production, the one that gives ratings and the rest of the castaways saw and interacted with the same jerk, egomaniac, obnoxious, self center guy but on a totally different way, more personal.
I don't dislike or like Natalie, I just knew that she had more chances because her votes were votes against Russ.

Natalie was the only one I felt looked extremely different. Of course, Russell didn't look different at all though. I also noticed Laura and Monica looked very different but that was mostly due to the pounds of make up they put on their faces. I can't even remember Mick too much to be honest, he just reminded me of a fatter version of his Survivor day 39 self.
IMO Natalie was the luckiest person in the history of the show. She said what her game plan was but I don't think she had a game plan, she just said she did. She just hung around and won, never much did a thing. I do like her, just saying.
Jaison is a very bitter man. We saw that at the beginning and end of the show. I hope he gets the help he needs.
Yes. And if he was so disgusted by Russell's game play why did he stay aligned with Russell and why didn't he try to make a move on Russell especially when Brett won his final challenge.
I definitely think we saw a well edited version of Russell. The producers can edit it any way they want to and they loved giving Russell the spotlight. I was beginning to think it was the Russell show.
Remember when Sugar was on? They gave her a great edit and made her look very strategic. But in the end, it turned out they edited it to make it look that way. Apparently she cried all of the time and was unpleasant to be around.
I'm sure the players got a taste of the real, unedited Russell and weren't impressed.

I finally got around to watching the finale on DVR last night.
At first, I was pretty shocked and thought that Russell should have won because he was the clear mastermind of the entire game. Nobody in past seasons has ever had such complete control over the outcome of almost every tribal council.
But the more I thought about it, the more I realized how Russell failed. Survivor is not just about controlling who gets voted out and getting yourself to the end. It's also a social game. You have to make the right connections with the jury members on a personal level, so they will vote for you. Russell failed at the social game. Even though he controlled the game, he failed at getting people to like him or respect him enough to vote for him in the end.
Whether or not Natalie had a plan from the beginning or was just lucky, she beat Russell at the social game and in the end, that is what gave her the victory. She played the game better when it really mattered and convinced the jury to vote for her. So she deserves the win.
