The rumor that T was going to be voted off tonight was in full strength there. It's been pretty dead on so far.

I had put T on my fantasy team to replace Rupert. When I got home this afternoon and saw that they were saying T was getting voted out, I dumped her about an hour before showtime.

To show you how dead on these rumors can be, last season it was posted that Matt and Jenna would be the final two with Jenna winning. Something no one thought could possibly happen. They have been right many more times than not.

How do the people on these rumor boards find out this stuff?

Its already been said, but I cannot believe Sandra & Christa would trust Jon. It just blew my mind that they would not take this opportunity to get rid of one of the guys.

Jon is lower than low. And I felt really sorry for Christa about the fish.

The final episode airs December 14th. I was on the Magic in October and they did not air Survivor at that time. If they did, I wouldn't have been able to watch it anyway because it was dinner time. Enjoy your cruise and have a trusted friend record the show for you to watch upon your return home.

Grog - Good luck for any Survivor 9 contestants. I fear what the newest breed of Survivors will bring. God knows I would never last a single episode!

Jon has set a new high (low) for all following Survivor Series. While many people are morally outraged at this latest turn of events, many people think it was a brilliant ploy in outwitting and outlasting his fellow tribemates. And, it worked. I wonder what his fellow tribemates are thinking tonight.....

I think T got what she deserved. WHY in the world did she go to Jon to tell him they were voting Burton off. This here sealed her fate. And then the other thing that ticks me off is how could Christa and Sandra side with Jon on tonights vote? They know what Jon is like. This was a great oprtunity to get rid of Burton tonight and they blew it.

How do the people on these rumor boards find out this stuff?

Some of these people seem to practically live on the internet. They devour and digest every little bit of rumor or gossip, then try to verify it through various sources. For example, for the Amazon, someone figured out who the last half dozen tribe members probably were by finding out how much they weighed when they left to film Survivor, then talking with people in their hometowns, jobs, etc, about how they appeared when they came back (did they looked emaciated, etc). Last season, one of these people even went so far as to travel to the Amazon and after finding the hotel the production crew stayed at, talked with tour guides, hotel employees, etc, to gather information. He even got someone to take him in a boat to where the camps and tribal council area were. This person spilled the secret of the all male/female tribes before it was announced to the public.

I have been hating Jon since early in this show, but tonight I really couldn't believe he concocted this ahead of time. He's really nuts but I admire his nastiness! I'm just glad he stayed loyal to Burton and kept him on the show. I can't believe Jon will last long with Sandra but who knows? We'll see.. .I love this show!!

If Jon is one of the final two, I would be SO HAPPY if I were the other Survivor! Can you imagine anyone actually thinking telling people your grandmother is dead is a GOOD thing, and letting him win? Does he not realize that people on the jury will have the chance to watch all these episodes BEFORE they vote??

We have been on vacation EVERY SINGLE TIME the last episode of survivor has aired. One May we were on an Alaskan cruise.. no survivor on the ship...

The time when the black lady won (sorry can't rememebr her name) we were away and our recorder didn't record....

NOW!!!!!!!! We will be in the World when they air the final episode. (Actually flying home I think) This time we have TIVO and I will make sure it gets recorded.

I don't beleive that the jury will see any TV prior to voting....they don't even get off of the Island prior to voting. Jon may have just played his way to the top !

Someone on another thread suggested that Jon and Sandra have a secret alliance. It makes sense to me. Sandra is probably just as coniving as Jon.

All I can say is: "What in the world were they thinking?" (Actually, the censors on the board would delete the REAL words I said last night.)

Ok, Sandra lying about the fish - that wasn't real nice to let Christa take the fall, BUT I can certainly see her point: Rupert was the only one who caught fish and was keeping them alive. They were stupid enough to get rid of Rupert, then get rid of the last of Rupert's fish.

"Johnny Fairplay" - ooooh, I HATE that man!! I can't wait to see what happens when the other survivors find out about his lie. Somebody mentioned that they wouldn't know until the episode aired? I'll bet they were livid!! Every one of them deserved to see their loved ones and for Jon to lie like that......I'm so mad I can't think straight.

On the other hand, Jon is providing DH and I with plenty of lessons for our DS's: last night's lesson was that there are a lot of people out there in the world who WILL lie like that and stab you in the back just to get ahead. Nasty lesson, but real life. As someone else said in an earlier post, this Survivor is just proving that nice guys don't finish first, they usually come in last.

For the vote: I was sure after Sandra took T with her to overheard Jon and Burton plotting that Burton would go. But when T went and told Jon about it, maybe Sandra heard T talking to Jon (you know how Sandra sneaks around) and that's why Sandra and Christa voted for T - they probably figured if T wasn't going to vote with them, get rid of her. Unfortunately, they're still stuck with Burton who will probably win more immunities and still stuck with that lying, cheating, bottom dwelling, scum Jon.

I couldn't believe that Jon lied about his grandmother either, what a horrible thing to do and then the others didn't find out. He is playing the game, but I really don't like him at all.

I also was disappointed that Sandra didn't at least let Christa know that she had dumped the fish.

We will be at WDW next week, so hopefully we can figure out how to set the recorder down there and watch it later in the evening.

I really don't know know who I'm pulling for at this point. My choice had been Rupert, since he is gone, I haven't decided who I'm actually pulling for.

Yes I'm with the majority when I say I love to hate Jon. He actually makes the show more interesting, but I can't stand him.

Sandra really teed me off when she didn't own up to dumping the fish. Then she explains to the camera that it was an accident, I don't believe that for a minute. I hope she goes next, even before ol' Johnny Fairplay.

I was a little worried that Burton was going to be voted off last night. It really was a great chance to get rid of him. It makes me wonder what Jon and Sandra have cooked up for the future.

I can hardly wait for next week.

As if lying about the death of his grandmother wasn't bad enough, then he goes and swears on his supposedly-dead grandmother's name. What a jerk!!!

He will probably win because the others will feel that he "played the game the best".

I was thinking that when Jon admitted that the Grandmother thing was a scam, and then swearing on his Grandmother - he just kissed many TV appearances and endorsements after Survivor goodbye!

Sure he played the game well, but I think there should be a line drawn somewhere. I'm really not that interested in watching Survivor if it gets to the point where it becomes "ultra sleezy" (And I've never missed an episode!)

It will be interesting to see the reaction to him when they all get back together at the final episode. I'm sure they will be briefed to treat him one way or another depending on the final outcome, just like I thought there was something "fishy" with the final in the last episode. Remember when some contestants said they would NEVER vote for Jenna, then they sheepishly said she was the best survivor and voted for her instead of Matt (what crap.....but I digress......I think that Mark Burnett just wanted a young winner to get the younger audience.....but that is another topic)

I can't wait until Jon goes on the talk show tour - they won't let that alone and he's really going to come off as a real idiot. Hopefully the media will not spin it into something like, "what a great way to play the game" and award him for it. That wouldn't be a lesson I would like my daughter to see. What goes around, comes around.....I hope!

I will admit that the extra "spins" this year has made it more interesting to watch.
Can't wait to see who is on the Allstars version!.......hey maybe I'll start another thread......
