Survivor: Palau...official Thread

I liked the twists as well - shook things up a little bit.

I like the idea that there might be a shake-up instead of a merge. A little too early for a merge.

I'd really like to see Tom win it but he's already got a large target on his back.

The next couple of weeks should be interesting.

I was sorry to see Angie go. I would have chosen James.

My wish list for the final 3 would be Tom, Ian & Stephanie. That's not asking for much is it?!

Just wondering but why did the girls vote for Bobby Jon this time instead of James. Last week they were all ready to vote James off but did in Kim instead. The change to Bobby Jon seemed weird. I bet if it had been a tie btw James and Angie....James would have been walking not Angie.

I sort of like the twists but did not like the Koror had to vote someone off just because. They had not lost an immunity so why make them lose a player seemed weird to me other than to bring down the numbers some.

i still think the first two players that never made it onto teams will reappear at some point...mainly because i cannot see the producers going through all the trouble of picking 2 extra peopla and paying their way for over a month just for 1 day...but maybe that is wishful thinking...

i was sad to see her go...if she would have survived to the merge i think she would have paired up with the gay guy and could have made it possibly to final four..

ibrehem is not all that...overall he has sucked at the challenges, esp the water ones, the team should have known he would not do well tonight because he sucked at that one water challenge early on where ian and tom pretty much won it for Koror...don't remeber all the specifics but it inc alot of diving and pulling something in from a distance under water. He may look big but he is not really stong. i am suurprised that some of the skinny guys can carry/do more than he can.

ibrehem will not survive muh longer i hope...

I really liked tonight's show, but I thought it was cruel making them watch the other team eat. :sad2:

I think they wanted to give Koror a chance to boot someone. But I agree, you shouldn't have to if you win the challenge.

I was so hoping they would save Ibrehem, I knew Ulong didn't have a "Plan B". But what I think happened was, the girls sort of did (picking off the men), and voted for Bobby Jon since he's the strongest, while the men didn't, hence the different votes the first time around.

I still really like Stephenie and I hope she stays in for quite a while, but I don't see how she will. She doesn't LOOK as threatening as the guys, but she sure carries her weight, so maybe if there were a shuffle, she could hang on.

Anyone have any thoughts on how they manipulate the show? Just wondering if they watch stuff, like Greg's plotting and scheming, and then turn things around. It sure would be nice to see them put the two teams together and then split them up again. I would love to see Greg and Jen apart. Just wondered if the producers do this stuff. I can't imagine that they have a 'set' plan and never deviate from it.

I'm really upset to see Angie leave...I would have voted James if my hands were tied like that.

Angie, Steph, and Bobby John really were the heart of that team. I think Koror realized Ibrehem was weak and that's why they gave him immunity (could come to bite them when they shuffle the teams...which I'm sure they will.)

And, I'm sorry, but if I see ONE PERSON here say "thank god I don't have to look at Angie in her skivvies anymore"...I'm going to lose it. Flame me if you must...but I think some people were a bit hard on her.

As much as it did suck for Koror to HAVE to vote someone out w/o losing...Coby was right...it was, what, day 12/13? And they hadn't played THAT side of the game yet...it was time.

Not only did I not like Angie in her underwear but I dont like the men in theirs either....I dont want to see James or Cobe(with his barely covering underwear) in theirs...yuch...yuch and double yuch...

I feel quite the opposite. Tonight was my favorite Survivor episode in quite some time. I was on the edge of my seat and knew that Probst had to have something up his sleeve. And boy did he ever.

I also like all the new twists in the game. Keeps things interesting. I think James should have been the one to go though. Angie was a good team player for them. She was strong and tough and not afraid to get in there and get it done. And I would rather see Angie in her underwear than James in his. :earseek: His at times show more than hers.

My friend pointed out that they usually wait until there are only 12 people left to combine tribes. Ulong has been losing members too fast, making the team challenges harder to design for fewer and fewer people. My guess is the producers wanted to hurry the merge instead of having an immunity challenge with only 4 members of each team (*yawn*) with 5 members sitting out and that they'll merge next week.

The merge is usually done at 10 people. In the past when 1 team is much smaller than the other team they somehow redistribute the team to even them out...not fair but its what has been done. As far as Williard leaving he wasnt much of an asset anyway..Karen needs to look out she seems to be the next candidate.

I like the way the producers/writers are keeping this show jumping, but I do feel like Angie got shafted big time last night. I feel terrible for her. She has worked to hard and proven herself and to get voted off like that, just stinks. I'm surprised that Stephanie voted for her. I would have thought she would have wanted to keep another female. I had to laugh at how quickly James was to point the finger at Ibrehem. Wasn't it James who LOST last week's challenge, BOTH times, against "the gay guy" (although that's not the word he used) as he so blatently called Coby? The women were the ones who enabled their team to actually get back to within fighting distance of a win. AND, it was JAMES who personally lost the challenge for them. He was the last up with the score was tie. He LOST the challenge. Oh, I wish people had used their common sense and voted JAMES off last night. His "redneck" attitude is a disgrace.

I also think it was very poor of the winning team to enjoy their food reward in front of the other team. I guess they all forgot what Coby suggested "Can we not gloat about eating in front of the other team"? Yeah, yeah, I know it's a game, but come on.....all they had to do was put themselves on the otherside of the fire and think about how that would have felt.

It should have been James to leave, not Angie. I liked her! And speaking of clothing, they had to fuzz out the front of Ibrehem's pants at least once, so they are all getting a little "bare". You would think that since they were the onces to receive the sewing supplies they would do something more with them.

Who is the couple that is "pairing" up? I can't remember her name but for just a second when she first came to TC and was lighting her torch, she looked exactly like Amber in the firelight.

Though eating in front of the other tribe was a new twist, I didn't like the way Koror was so vocally enjoying their food and digging it in. Of course, Ulong would have probably done the same.

Well, I'm not going to post much different. I do think Koror could've been a little more considerate when eating...sound effects not necessary Koror! I do believe James should have gone....Angie was more of an asset than him! As far as Ibreham--his biggest problem on that challenge was he was trying to untie the bottles instead of just pulling on them...that's what cost him. I too believe Angie got shafted--she proved herself in each challenge and James did not..... also sitting here waiting for the shake up.....Koror will scramble. I too pick Stephanie to go far.....she seems like a tough chickie!! (altho i still can't see why she voted off stronger Angie instead of James) :confused3 I too believe Jonathon & Wanda will be back to haunt Survivor island....just you wait and see.... :hourglass Something BIG is gonna happen real soon...because Ulong only has 4 people and is really just about at "rock bottom"....I just know things will turn around for them real soon and real BIG! :teeth: (I always root for the underdog....go ULONG!!) :cheer2:

Didn't Coby actually make a poitn of telling Koror that they should all be quiet and gracious while eating in front of Ulong? BOY did that go out the window fast or what??? So rude...

However I have like the Koror tribe since day one and am personally rooting for Tom (though I am positive her will be given the boot as he is a HUGE threat to the others).

Angie did not deserve to go. It should've been James. Period.

Freely admitting I'm not a big Angie fan, I was sorry to see her go, because she tried so hard.

I think once the first vote was a tie for Ulong, Steph knew which way it was going to go (Bobby Jon and Angie not voting meant 2 men, 1 woman casting votes--she knew the guys would vote Angie out). Since she figured Angie would be gone either way, she wanted to also vote out Angie, so she would be perceived as a "team player" by the guys. After all, she's still on there with them.

I think the producers plan for a few different contingencies--they always have to have a Plan B and Plan C, because you never know if someone is going to get hurt, or if one tribe gets decimanted, or if one team is going ot be heavy on one "asset" (i.e., really physically strong, or rocks at puzzles, whatever). So I think they do have several options open to them. At the rate they're going, Ulong is going to disappear in 2 weeks--they just won't be able to survive.

P.S. On the eating thing, I think it's easy to say in the abstract, "Let's not rub it in", but when you've been starving and the food is in front of you, it's tough not to be excited. I thought they were fairly restrained. How could you not enjoy a pot of beef stew when you're starving?
