Survivor Finale Tonight! (SPOILER)

I didn't care for Amber's look either and thought if she flipped her hair one more time I was going to scream!!!

Jenna looked great!! Marriage definitely agrees with her! Guess she couldn't use the single mom angle when she made her video for the million!

SRUAlmn, my answers were exactly the same as yours with the exception of picking "Rubert stealing the shoes" as the best moment.

OMG.. is there a bigger bunch of whiny babies than on that stage and in that jury last night? Lex, Kathy, Alicia... Tom. What the heck do they think the game is about - OUTWIT - how else do you outwit someone other than to fool them or mislead them?

Do they think that when you get a group of players together that have already played the game and know the score that everyone is going to sit around the campfire singing cumbaya and not analyzing or strategizing how to get the strongest players out?

Rich was the voice of reason last night. You play a game to win. You check your friendship at the door. It's a game, not a popularity contest. I think Lex would get pissed even if he lost at Monopoly  That group (Lex, Kathy, Alicia, Tom) had way too high of an opinion of themselves.

I started out liking Lex, Kathy and Tom (never did like Alicia because of her attitude) but I lost all respect for them last night - except Kathy, who seemed to "get" the game at the end and voted for the person that played it the best.

Say what you like about Rob - but he played the game the best out of the group. His mind was always on the prize. He should have won because Amber really did ride his coattails.

Now, my VOTE for the million is going to RUPERT all the way! I love the way his face just lights up when the crowd cheers for him. It's like watching that little boy that got picked on in school finally get his day in the sun. Go RUPERT!

My sentiments exactly!

All of those people got put out of the game because each and every one of them approached Rob to help themselves stay on, when all the while they should have broken him and Amber apart. He can make promises to anyone but he can't keep them all when someone has to go each week. What a bunch of sore losers! They put themselves into the position of being 'led' by him and suddenly he didn't play the game honorably because they didn't like the way in turned out. I personally cannot stand Rob, but to say he didn't play the game 'the right way' is just stupid. He certainly deserved to win, definitely not Amber who did just ride his coattails the entire time. The rest of them were just mad that they weren't allowed to ride his coattails all the way to the end. But that's how it goes. For a group of people who played the game before, you would have never known it. I couldn't believe that this wasn't blatantly pointed out to those people. Shii Ann and Richard got close to saying it but never actually did. In fact, with the exception of the romance factor, this season played out just like the first one, where all those tribe members allowed Richard Hatch to run the entire show.
And Jeff Probst is usually very perceptive and vocal about things like that. Unfortunately the stupid engagement thing stole a lot of the attention and time that could have been better spent addressing some of these issues.

The whole extra million thing is stupid too. I think the prize money should have just been bumped up to 2 million instead of getting to vote for one of them.

I also thought the Rob and Amber engagement thing was predictable and stupid. Whether the relationship is real or not, they deserve each other. And that Jerri is a real piece of work. She belongs in an insane asylum. They all do.

This was the most boring and horribly played Survivor ever, with the exception of Rob.

I have a question about Sue,
Jeff asked her about her work done, did she say Extreme Makeover did it, or did she say she had an Extreme Makeover.

Then she threw in about her having an anniversary too, 17 years.

Something with that whole Sue story was a bit off, my husband said, maybe that is how she got paid instead of suing the network.

And, some of the players that didn't get to talk. Tina the first one off just got expression time, when she found out Jenna got married and Jeff pointed her out. Richard made sure he got his 15 minutes and so did Jerri-(I think she couldn't get her point across with the booing). I actually like Jerri this time.

Anyone see anyone else that didn't get interviewed or talked too.

Apparently she was on an "extreme makeover TYPE" show called "Mirror Mirror" that will be on CBS (or ABC? I forget) soon...she kept saying to "look out for it"

sounds like more crap like the Swan.

Ethan.

When Jenna M. made the comment about her and Ethan's relationship being about so much more than just Survivor, was she just rambling or trying to get a dig in to Amber and Rob? Interesting.

One more comment. I thought Amber did not seem so happy last night because she watched the last show before coming on stage. She saw Rob contemplating taking Jenna to the final two, and she didn't know about that until last night. Wouldn't you be mad if you found out your boyfriend, who you never considered betraying, almost betrayed you?

Very good point! I didn't even think about them not seeing the last episode until right before they went on stage. Hmm.....

I just finished the online chat with Rupert at cbs.com. He really is such a nice, sweet, genuine person. It was great :)

Oh, I hate that I missed that!

Boy, Boston Rob is better than I thought, he even got some of YOU!

True love my EYE. He said he'd do ANYTHING to win the million and he did. He knew that Ambuh had a better chance of winning than he did so he made sure he got a part.

39 days? LOVE? Come on people! Dependence, lust, conspiracy, protection, greed maybe but LOVE?

I'm counting the seconds till that relationship is OVAH!

I watched most of the Early Show this morning, but I may have missed some, does anybody know why Alicia wasn't there this mornng?

ya, but hasn't this show been over since Novembah!! They had to be spending a lot of time together since then.

When I heard about the "surprise twist" I truly thought that it had to do with the last immunity challenge. Did Jenna's foot realy come off that log? I saw it replayed and to me honestly I don't think it did. It repositioned but didn't lift off completely.
My thoughts on the Romber thing and others:
She's a fake and a phony...she knew he was going to pop the question..it's all about airtime and ratings
I didn't want either of them to win, Rupert (love him) but he just wasn't playing hard this time although I did vote for him for the million prize.
Rudy....imagine if he had stuck around..what would he have done when the lies and backstabbing began in earnest since we all know it started within 15 minutes of the game.
ShiAnn..boy she cleaned up rather nicely, she looked great as did Jenna and Sue
Jerri is just peoed because her 15 min of fame are over. She did the Outback and then Playboy and now All Stars..she was just looking for airtime as well. You know what they say..if it looks like a duck, walks like a duck and sounds like a duck
::yes::

Spending time planning this scam.... Sorry I used to be Boston Rob, I know his type very well. He's good at what he does and he used and misused everyone on that island... what a bunch of nitwits. It was machiavellian to the utmost! I know some admire that but I've seen the end result MANY times of ill gotten gains and those that have them get what they deserve in the end.

I don't think that's what she was doing because Jenna and Ethan were very good friends for awhile before they ever got romantically involved. I heard an interview with her on the radio and when the DJ questioned Amber/Rob she said things were very real bwteen them and that she was very happy for them both.

39 days? LOVE? Come on people! Dependence, lust, conspiracy, protection, greed maybe but LOVE?

I fell in love with my DH in less then 2 weeks, I knew I wanted to spend the rest of my life with him. I was only 22 at the time and now almost 12 years later we're still very happily together, married for almost 9. I don't believe there is a time requirement to fill when it comes to love, it just happens when it happens.

Best of luck to them both, I think they're adorable together and it's for real.

My parents fell in love in about a minute and were married for 60 years. My sister met and fell in love with her husband on a blind date and they're having their 40 year anniversary next year.

In other words I know it can happen.

I am talking about the character of these people with a million dollars hanging over their heads.

I believe he really loves her Just the way he looks at her, like she is the best thing since sliced bread. He repeatedly talked about his feelings for her during the private interviews on Survivor.

39 days? LOVE? Come on people! Dependence, lust, conspiracy, protection, greed maybe but LOVE?

I knew my DH for 50 days when we became engaged, married him 6 months later and we will celebrate 11 years next month. So I'll put my rose colored sunglasses on :p and believe they do love each other. Now, as to whether they will last or not, I don't know, but if it doesn't, I don't believe it would be b/c their relationship was an act.

Lori P. :)

I think it looked pretty clear to me that Rob feels a lot more strongly for Amber than she does for him....

Does anyone else think the Amber/Rob marriage is a great way for them to legally split the winnings? Under regular circumstances Contestants aren't allowed to split or share winnings. Getting married would be a great way to get around that. Who says they didn't plan it that way from the beginning? Have a quickie marriage, create prenup to split the dough, get some publicity and then divorce when the $$$ stops rolling in. Just a thought.

Remember Rob also gets $250K for his second place finish.

1.25M - (and two new cars) - not a bad way to start a marriage......if it happens.

I wonder how much will be left after taxes????
