Survivor All Star OFFICIAL THREAD!

As for the Romber mariage, I don't think it will last. You have two people who didn't even really like each other when the show started, bonding together under stressful conditions. Once all the All Stars hoopla dies down, I think the relationship will cool off.

I hope you are wrong, but I suspect you may be right. I was thinking as I was watching it, had Amber been my daughter, how would I have advised her? And I know I would have been urging her to wait and see how things went outside in the real world.

I just hope for their sake that the engagment is a long one, to see how it works out. I think that the fact that the game is still going on (sort of) is the glue holding them together. First they had the game for 39 days, then they have probably had to sneak around for the last few months to avoid media scrutiny (an extension of the game). Once the game is well and truly over, after all the TV appearances, etc, that is when they will know if this is going to work or not.

Personally I would have liked to see two different people in the final two. I don't think Rob or Amber deserved to win it. I would have liked to see Rupert in with a chance & maybe Jenna (not sure on the second person).

I also can't see this marriage working..........they haven't even courted in the "real world" nor have they had to face the hassles life throws their way as far as a relationship goes.

Don't get me wrong....I'm happy for them, if it's really what they want & for their sakes I hope it works.

Now as for who should win the extra million.........RUPERT. I've always liked Rupert, he's an honest bloke & I personaly think he deserves to win something. As far as what he will do with the money should it be awarded to him.......that is his buisness........I feel he's earnt the million.::yes::

I just got around to watching part of the Early Show.....I was surprised to hear Jenna say that had she gone up against Rob in the final two she was assure a win. I was surprised because I think she is living in the land of NOT. I thoroughly disliked Rob, but I wold have voted for him over Jenna in a flash. Is this just me?

ITA

I really love him and think he should win :)

Jenna was told last night by Jeff that she wouldn't have won. Shii-Ann (who voted for Amber) said that had it been Rob vs. Jenna, she would have voted for Rob giving him a 4-3 victory. I only caught part of The Early Show before having to leave for work and missed that part. Not sure where she got that idea from

I liked Jerri during this Survivor, but she was off her rocker last night. All of a sudden she is against the current reality tv trend? Let's see.......she was on TWO Survivors and that other reality tv show last year where "celebrities" like her, Webster and Corey Feldman all shared the house together.

She was on the Surreal life...how do i know this?
Cause im a reality TV junkie and I watched both seasons!!!

What did you think of Sue's plea for the million? I did not like what she said...very spooky in my opinion! She did look a lot better since she got the whole body plastic surgery thing, though.

I agree with the person who said that they are tired of these "under the radar" winners. I miss people like Richard Hatch winning, who acted like themselves and didn't feel like they had to blend in with the trees. Like Jenna M and Sondra, the last winner (she's already forgotten), Amber is another dull contestant, too boring to vote off. I hate seeing the interesting people get voted off, like Richard Hatch, Rudy, Lex and Rob C.

I don't think you'll ever see another truly outspoken person win, and it's going to hurt Survivor if this trend continues.

I completely agree.......and I think Amber having that million and Rob not, is going to pose a problem for them.

And I also love Rupert....have loved him since he stole the shoes on the last Survivor. He has played honorably, and I greatly admire his obvious love for his wife. he definitely gets my vote.

I don't think Sondra was under the radar...she definitely did her share of stirring things up- remember all the times she was just SCREAMING at Johnny Fairplay? She also gave Burton a piece or two of her mind, crouched around listening to other's conversations, etc. And I feel she helped her team TREMENDOUSLY right from the start by helping them get all the supplies because she knew how to speak Spanish. Sure, Rupert stole the shoes and got a few extra things, but she really rocked and was very outspoken. I liked her!

I also was bum-bum-bummed to see Rob C get the boot sooo early in the game. He was a super player in the Amazon, and to me, he had a very funny sense of humor. I voted for him for the who deserves the million. I like Rupert too, but I wanted to throw my vote to someone else.

Jerri declined to beg - good for her - but she also knew she'd have to see herself getting like 1% of the final vote. She just spared herself further humiliation.

I was just on the site watching the video's and there is one from Jerri on there....it looks different then the others, like she isn't even looking at the camera.

She says something about how she will go coast to coast looking for people for a new reality show....where they would only show good things...something like that.....If I could type as fast as others I would type what she said, but It wouldn't come out right if I did it...LOL

Thanks phamton for posting each Survivor's statement on why they should win this bonus million dollars. I can't get video on this computer anymore. (new computer arriving next week as a combo birthday and Mother's day present! :D ).

I am not voting for Rupert.

Survivors I considered voting for:
  • RobC - Not only because he played so well the first time around but also because he is from Long Island.
  • JennaM/Ethan - Only briefly because of what they said but decided I won't vote for a previous winner.
  • JennaL - Also briefly because of her plea for Rupert but quickly dismissed that thought too.
  • Colby - Just 'cuz he's so darn cute!
But when it came right down to it, I am sticking to who I really feel was cheated out of the million the first time around, and who I thought at tribal council voting confessional time last night, showed her true side again, not the bitter side, and that is Kathy!

Now, someone please tell me, when you vote at the CBS website, what happens? When I hit "submit your choice" I heard a triple click and then the same page came up again with Kathy still checked off. I don't think it is going thru. Stoopid computer!

......Did anyone else hear one of the women say 'well, that will go to Rupert' as they were going to a commercial? I couldnt tell who it was, but it had to be one of the Survivors since they were obviously on a microphone.
I believe that was JennaL because Jeff said something about "Jenna is still talking".

I'm another one who believes Rob and Amber won't last. The fact that Amber won and Rob didn't will definitely eat away at him. He's too macho to accept he lost to a girl, but of course time will tell.

Don't forget, she was also on the show "Blind Date".

I felt bad for Jerri during this series. However, she did not win my sympathy last night with her little protest tantrum. This was definitely something she signed on for knowing the consequences.

Perhaps she wanted to redeem herself from her stint on Australia (wasn't she the one that started the lie about the beef jerky causing Kyle to be kicked off?) Perhaps she wanted a different image rather than the one she earned there as a *****. And perhaps she is upset that her image did not change for the better during this series. Just my wandering thoughts on this subject.

not sure who i'm going to vote for yet, i'm gonna look through the videos first. but i'm not voting for rupert- he's already getting too many. and also in my opinion he didn't deserve to get the first million so he doesn't deserve to get this million. isn't that what this is supposed to be for? to vote for who we think deserves to win because they played the game well and not just who is the fan's favorite? sorry if i've offended any rupert fans but this is my opinion.
after watching the early show, i'm thinking my vote might go to rudy.

FINALLY someone who agree with me! I really don't think Rupert was one of the better players. I'm still deciding, Rudy, maybe, Rob C., Jenna L. It's obvious that the popularity contest has Rupert winning.

Remember - Rob got $250K as second place. So that's 1.25million between them, plus two cars. It was interesting to see that previous winners (Tina, Ethan, Jenna M) weren't interested in getting another million - good for them for being so honest.

As far as the Lex/Tom/Ethan/Rob alliance breaking, what I didn't like about Rob was how it was done. All the rest was just talk, speculation, and strategy as to how the vote might go.
For me, it was the scene when Amber/Rob and Tom were talking about voting out Jenna. Amber almost screamed at Tom, "There is no swing......you are with us!" Then Tom said, "OK tell me who we are voting for", and Rob asked for the hand shake.
Yes, it's just a game - I guess it was the manner in which Rob deliberately made his point about making it clear what was going to happen, shaking hands and doing the opposite. Too slimey for me.

Gotta love Lex's blue hair!

Rupert is an honorable guy plus he made it to the top four and that's good enough for me.

I love Lex's blue hair too. It's definitely better than the mohawk!
