Now...Xander should have worked that extra vote too. If he played his on Liana with his regular vote and Evvie's vote...then they would go to re-vote and if they had to go to rocks it would be Danny or Deshawn who would be at risk so Deshaw would switch to Laina. Not sure why that didn't happen. Only can assume Xander wanted to keep his extra vote to help himself later and/or he didn't want to keep Evvie to work with.

If they revoted Danny and Deshaun would still vote for Evvie and she'd be gone 2-1.

Ahh. Missed that the extra vote carried over to the revote. Too many advantages flying around to keep track of what does what... which is another thing that Probst has done to break the game.

The presumption is that they did that JUST in case Naseer played his idol and somehow Shan or Ricard were on people's votes. Shan putting a vote for each of Naseer & Heather meant Heather should have 3 votes. If somehow Naseer had teamed up with Ericka & Heather and he's used his idol, then whomever Naseer/Heather/Ericka wrote down would have gone. The editing didn't really show the deliberations completely, probably because they had 2 sets of tribals to cover/lead up to.

I'm not sure it's jury management to claim they weren't targeting Naseer. Pretty sure Naseer knew that Shan was the only one with an extra vote. She put a vote on him both sets of voting.

Yeah, when you have to have a chyron at the bottom of the screen to remind viewers what idols and/or advantages a player has that should be your first sign your show is too complicated!

What spoilers? I just said why the 2 votes went the way they did. And discussed the 4 AA member alliance and everyone thinking it falls apart since the show hasn't been showing any big alliance talk/moves. I was just guessing it doesn't fall apart (all 4 are still there and now a big power alliance with Ricard so it will be uphill battle for Xander, Erika and Heather...IMO). The spoilers I've posted, which have zero to do with my post #219, I did in a spoiler cover. And I think my spoiler rumors are fake anyway. I have only read rumors and know nothing for fact, by the way.

Yes, I agree it was to keep themselves safe in case Erika and Heather voted one of them instead of Naseer and Naseer used his idol.

And Liana. I like Ricard now. He's grown on me. Poor guy just has a RBF. Maybe it's because he has to focus so much due to his hearing loss. I like Danny, he is playing smart. Amazing his name hasn't been thrown out there since typically the comp beast guys and pro athletes are targeted right before merge. Danny is also doing well. And Erika is smart too and I like an underdog so I am rooting for her. Just not thrilled with Heather, Shan and Liana. But LOVE Xander and he needs Heather so...meh. Really wish Heather went instead of Evvie.

Tbh the not-a-merge fiasco made it clear to me that they're throwing stuff out to artificially create drama and downplay the importance of strategy.

My theory, worth what you paid for it, is that the players have a lot more time to think about the different advantages, idols, etc. than we do. Heck, between challenges, they've got nothing BUT time! Plus, they have the various producers, cameramen, etc. who can explain stuff to them off-screen. Multiple times, if necessary. Personally, I find it all a bit off-putting and way over-complicated. And I don't understand the strategy of sharing everything with everybody. But, that's different from the "complicate the heck out of the game" approach that the producers have embraced.

I didn't mind that one when compared to all the hidden advantages. I think the merge shows have become very predictable and this changed it up a bit.
