Survivor 23--South Pacific--No Spoilers**Wed 9/14**

The Savaii are so two faced. Here they are slamming Upolu for acting superior when Savaii went into the merge like a bunch of cocky jack-butts themselves! Oh, and blondie's crocodile tears "I'm being vilified!...I'm not a bully!" Uh, yes you are. The way she and Jim and Ozzy went after Cochran after tribal? THEY disgust me.

And Jim goes on about how Cochran is the only dishonorable tribe member??? Really? Jim's been scheming since DAY ONE...and what happened to his promise to Ozzy to give Oz the immunity idol at tribal? Or was that out the window the VERY SECOND he realized his "passionate speech" fell on deaf ears.

What a bunch of cry-friggin-babies.

:thumbsup2

Keith to Ozzie & Jim on RI ....."Weren't we supposed to be the final 3?" :lmao:

Classic! Go Cocheran!

RI will have 3 way duels from here on out. If you recall last season, after Matt went back into the game and was immediately sent back to RI, they had two people join him before they had a duel. The rest of the season it was 3-way duels. I believe it was only for 2 or 3 weeks, and then the winner got back in the game.
Actually, Jeff Probst has stated that there will be 2 times this season where there will be a "3 way duel". Both times happen as a result of double eliminations, like last night. So, we should be getting one more double elimination show this season. Also, the 3 way duel will work differently than last season. 3 people will compete, but the 2 losers will immediately be eliminated.

Good! Let's see, Keith, Jim and Ozzy......actually, I want all 3 to go home! But get rid of Jim and Ozzy first. Keith wasn't quite as "vocal" as the other 2 after Cochran flipped. Ozzy is just REALLY annoying this season - so full of himself. I just hope Ozzy and Jim are gone before the jury - I don't want to hear their self-righteous speeches to the final 3, esp. if/when Cochran makes the final 3.

and I DO hope Cochran makes the finals. He's a nerd, realizes he doesn't have the physical strength to compete against Ozzy, so he's making the moves that he CAN make. He's using his brain to figure out the game. I'd love it if Cochran goes all the way to the win!

Of course Cochran's tribe had bad things to say to him after tribal. He just betrayed them.

I can't stand Cochran or Brandon. I cannot wait til they get the boot. I'm still rooting for Ozzy for the win.

I agree! Cochran totally screwed his tribe over...after they fought to keep him in the game. He deserved to get yelled at. And while he is clearly not a physically strong player, I don't think he is all that mentally strong either. Sure, it took guts to go against your tribe, but it just showed how absolutely needy he is. From episode 1 he has wanted to fit in. Remember him telling Jeff that he wanted to be called by his last name like all the "greats"? He has zero self-confidence and seems desperate to be liked. The former Upolu are totally using Cochran's insecurities to their own advantage.

I hate when players get sanctimonious like Brandon. The idea that the other tribe is "bad" because they wanted to vote out Cochran...of course they did. He was the weakest player. That's what you do in beginning and they ALL DO IT!! And Brandon's whooping and hollering at the challenge was just plain tacky.

Just some of my observation:

I'm not a big fan of Jim but his comments about Cochran playing the perfect game for 3rd place is right on. Everyone will want to take him to the end because he will get no votes.

My favorite player this season is Dawn. She is one strong lady and I would like to see her go to the end. Of course this is not going to happen. CBS, if you are listening, I would love to see Dawn on the Amazing Race.

Enough already with Redemption Island.

Coach is getting all Godfather now. Scary.

Will be fun to see the "family" go at each other when they have to start going.

TOTALLY agree with both these posts. I can't stand Cochran, and I abhor Brandon. Cochran is just being used by Coach's tribe now, granted they aren't in his face about it, but he will SO be the first to go when the 3 Savaii are gone.

Out of the 3 on Redemption Island, I want Jim gone SO bad. He exudes sliminess. I don't think Ozzy is obnoxious at all - and of course he is cocky! he is fit, he is skilled, he is HOT, swims like a fish, is a wonderful provider, climbs trees like a monkey, has awesome balance and coordination, and pretty much has it all going on. Who wouldn't be a little cocky, especially when surrounded by LOSERS like Cochran and Brandon?!?!? And he, and everyone else on Savaii, had a complete right to be angry at Cochran after he betrayed them - why wouldn't they be?!? They had protected him, kept him around, and he backstabbed them.

Ozzy for the win, all the way!!

My thoughts EXACTLY!

.snipped by me.

I 100% agree with you, and the PP who mentioned Cochran being "needy." Coach is trying his hardest not to erupt in laughter over Cochran landing in his lap.

The way Cochran whines about people not liking him, or not fitting in, was the easiest signal for Coach to pick up on. They invited him so he'd turn on the other tribe, and he'll be tossed aside when his usefulness is up.

Couldn't think of it happening to a better snake.

Honestly, though, I can't find too many redeeming qualities in any of the people this season. It's actually kind of refreshing not having anyone to root for. :rotfl:

Completely OT :offtopic: but I hate it when I see the posts all out of order.

Cochran made the right move. It wasn't about revenge or drawing the rock himself. He was going to be at the bottom of the pecking order for either group. No one knows who would have drawn the rock but we all know if would have determined the balance of power between the two groups.

1) Cochran can stay with Savaii and if one of them draws the rock, then he's the low man on a tribe that is going to get pagonged.

2) He can flip to Upolu and be certain that he's on the tribe that's doing the pagonging.

Yes, it pissed his tribe off. There's plenty of time left for him to redeem himself and he's chalked up one bold strategy move for his closing remarks at the final tribal council. He's in a good position to be a swing vote when Upolu has to turn on itself. And, as has already been pointed out, people are probably looking to take him to the final because, at this point, he seems to have made the most enemies.

You can hate Cochran if you want to. The flip was a good move. Jim and the others did a good job of trying to spin it at tribal council but it was smart.

Keith was voted out after Cochran flipped. He couldn't be vocal about it. Unless he was talking to himself on Redemption Island.

My favorite player this season is Dawn. She is one strong lady and I would like to see her go to the end. Of course this is not going to happen. CBS, if you are listening, I would love to see Dawn on the Amazing Race.
ITA! I'm rooting for Dawn. The only thing I didn't like was how she was kissing former Upolu tribe's butt while they were eating during the immunity challenge.

EW's Dalton Ross' Survivor recap here. Hilarious!!

"...that comment belongs to Ozzy Lusth, who informed the camera that John’s flip-flop was all about self-preservation. “That’s how a wiener plays.” A what? A wiener? Who the h*ll still uses that word? Seriously, unless you have a dachshund or some sort of Oscar Mayer jingle obsession, there is absolutely no reason to be using the word wiener. Which is exactly why I am in complete support of it being used here. I don’t care if John was or was not being a wiener. It is not my concern. Nor is the alleged wiener’s wiener my concern either. However the fact that one person is calling another a wiener? Simply fantastic."

"Ozzy tries to make a plea to Coach to stay and while it doesn’t work, it does lead to one thing that has been sorely lacking this season, and that is Coach reaching deep down into his Jack Handey book of Deep Thoughts for a sage-like quote to sum up the situation. “Some of the greatest inspiration is born of desperation, Marcus Aurelius once said,” Coach tells us.

Wow. That was awesome. And you know what makes it even more awesome? The fact that Marcus Aurelius never said it! No, it never came from the lips of the Roman emperor, but rather from one Comer Cottrell, a man who made his millions on — you are going to absolutely love this — Jheri curl. That’s right, Cottrell founded his company (Pro-Line) after concocting a strawberry scented oil sheen for afros. Roman emperor, Jheri curl magnate — practically the same thing, right? Genius. Genius that Coach bothers to memorize a quote book before playing, and genius that he then manages to mangle his power quote on national television."

“Knowing Jim, I believe that if he says he’s gonna give me the necklace, I believe he will,” says Ozzy, who clearly does not know Jim like he thinks he does."

"If we want to witness a competition, were going to have to head back to the unfortunately named Te Tuna tribe." I know, right?? Who the heck came up with that winner - or would that be wiener :lmao: - of a name??

Totally agree with this. Cochran cannot/will not win this game. If Coach (or anyone else) wants to win, taking Cochran and Edna to the final 3 would secure that.

I can't believe that I am... sort of... a fan of Coach this season. Maybe Sophie would be ok too. Ozzy is alright -- physically intimidating but weak socially, and he's always been pretty arrogant. I've heard Rick is really a nice guy. Christine said in an interview to Dalton Ross that Rick is the nicest guy ever, and Dalton supposes that is why we never see his little video confessionals.

Interesting, according to People maggie, Whitney is/was married and actually had an affair with Keith. I guess that would explain why she was such a bully and then felt "villinized".....blech blech blech

I knew I didn't like her.:snooty:

I heard that too, so when did they gotten 'so closed'? That means that maybe Keith wins and goes back in the game and spends more time with her, or.... they both get voted off and go to the jury, you know... "what happens in Ponderosa, stays in Ponderosa". :rolleyes1
