Survivor 23--South Pacific--No Spoilers**Wed 9/14**

Agreed. He is good at the video confessionals but that's it. Not a provider, not good at puzzles (so he says... I don't recall seeing him do a puzzle) not strong...

I actually don't think his flip was because he was making a bold move. I think he did it because he really didn't want to draw a rock. I don't even think he really did it because he hated his tribe (although, that certainly made it easier). He just didn't want to take the odds with drawing that purple rock. I am also unclear as to what Cochran got for his big flip. I didn't really see any guarantees or promises from the other side, besides a vague "we'll protect you."

He didn't get anything that they showed on tv except the "stay close to me" and "you can sleep between me and Edna". :rotfl2: I guess he expected them to all beat him up after his big move to the bottom of the other tribe.

I don't understand why they went to the drawing rocks in a tie

It used to be that in a tie the two would have a mini comp like building a fire

I do t think it's right that the rest should have to draw straws to we who loses when they weren't at rick to start with

I dont care so much that Cochrane flipped, it was him turning around right away saying "I can explain!!" that I did not like.
I think that's because he'd been treated as inferior by the tribe for so long, he was looking for approval. I agree it was stupid but again...we're talking about someone who seems to want approval by those around him and has very little self worth. Cochran must have known he would have been done with his old tribe the minute someone found out he flipped but he only sped up the process of his old tribe cutting their ties.

I think cochrane should of flipped, In his current tribe he was the lowest on the Totem Pole. True he is now the lowest on the totem pole in both groups, But now he has put himself in a position of leadership, he needs to get a group together who are weak in challenges and are on the low end of their respective tribes. He needs to start the NERD revolution!

I am always dumbfounded when the weak in survivor let the strong do as they please after the merge, once the merge is complete it is time to vote off the strong physical AND mental players. Band together!

A good Strategy is in the beginning blend in, try not to stick out as a good or bad in challenges. After merge, make backstabbing deals and get rid of the "Good" players.

I'll be interested to see what "explanation" Cochran has for his former tribemates. I don't think he needs to explain himself but maybe the attempt will reveal if he's really a good strategic player or just lucky up to this point.

I think Cochrane has something up his sleeve with his "I can explain" comment. He's nerdy - not strong physically, but he has a brain and he's been using it; otherwise, he'd be long gone by now! Ozzy's plan was for Cochrane to be the "double agent" once they merged and get info from Coach's tribe. Betcha Cochrane's explanation is that by voting with Coach's tribe, Cochrane will have an "in" with them and is better able to feed info to Ozzy's tribe.

As an added benefit for Cochrane's flip: while Cochrane didn't like Keith because of the way Keith treated him, Cochrane can also tell Savaii that sending Keith to RI was the same strategy as sending Ozzy - send somebody strong who will win the duels and come back to game and give Ozzy's tribe the numbers. Hopefully that will pacify Savaii, and Cochrane can secretly hope that Keith loses the RI duel and goes home for good.

I thought so too.

I personally wish that RI was done. I think that RI is a good concept but I don't care for they way they are doing it.

I think they realized that nobody would ever change their vote the second time around, as long as they were not in any danger. This way, people are going to think about changing and making sure there's no way they put themselves in a position to go home.

Hasn't it been awhile since they've done the drawing rocks thing? I'm guessing they know in advance that that will be the result of two ties. Another item I would like the tribes kept in the dark about. Just seems like they are making it too easy on them sometimes.

I see what you're saying about keeping them in the dark about that. I see where that would make for an interesting/unexpected turn of events. On the flip side, I think everyone should know all the "rules' of the game they're playing. What would be an ironic scenario is that if one person from each tribe secretly flipped and then they'd still end up with a tie and going to rocks.

I am not looking forward to all the high school drama tonight. Kristin telling Cochran, "you disgust me" and Jim(?) saying, "don't you ever talk to me again". I would never say those two statements to another adult. It sounds so immature. I hope Cochran stands up to them and tells them, I am an adult, I do not have to explain to you why I did what I did. Good Luck in your game. (I know it won't happen that way though.)

I would like the RI idea better if the tribes didn't know about it.

They just vote people off and the duels go on without them knowing. At some point, the winner of RI rejoins the merged tribe. The look on the faces of the remaining members would be priceless. :rotfl2:

Now that Ozzy played an idol, are they going to hide another one like they have in the past?

I also don't think that the tribes should be aware of who wins at RI. I think the drama of not knowing who is coming back would be better.

Anyone tweet with Jeff during the show? Maybe the idea of keeping the duel results at RI a secret would be something to tell him.

Geez, when did Ozzy get so annoying?

Can you say annoying and cocky!

Did ya notice that he wrote coc- and the bad word we all know, it was blurry on the screen but they giggle when Jeff showed the vote.

How long are they going to collect people at RI? Until they have enough to bring them all back as a new tribe? :rotfl: (Unlikely, but wouldn't that be a cool twist?)

RI will have 3 way duels from here on out. If you recall last season, after Matt went back into the game and was immediately sent back to RI, they had two people join him before they had a duel. The rest of the season it was 3-way duels. I believe it was only for 2 or 3 weeks, and then the winner got back in the game.

The Savaii are so two faced. Here they are slamming Upolu for acting superior when Savaii went into the merge like a bunch of cocky jack-butts themselves! Oh, and blondie's crocodile tears "I'm being vilified!...I'm not a bully!" Uh, yes you are. The way she and Jim and Ozzy went after Cochran after tribal? THEY disgust me.

And Jim goes on about how Cochran is the only dishonorable tribe member??? Really? Jim's been scheming since DAY ONE...and what happened to his promise to Ozzy to give Oz the immunity idol at tribal? Or was that out the window the VERY SECOND he realized his "passionate speech" fell on deaf ears.

What a bunch of cry-friggin-babies.
