Survivor 20**HvV**No SPOILER THREAD**

All this being said, even though I think Russ has played the best strategic game (2 seasons in a row now), I think Parv would win over Russ. She has way too many friends and hasn't back stabbed the way Russ has.

That is exactly why Russell's strategy has been HORRIBLE. A good player can pick the right time to blindside somebody, but when you backstab and alienate evrybody you can't get enough votes from the jury to win.

Russell's ego lets him think that he is a great player and is in control of the game, but then he is shocked when he doesn't get the votes.

What if we're all wrong about Colby, and this has been a masterful strategy by him that he has been implementing. By looking completely pathetic, he is last on everyone's hit list. I just can't figure him out this season.

You hit the nail on the head :thumbsup2 Russell's ego takes over, he thinks that since he is "so good" "the best" the other players should get on their knees in admiration and vote for him.

The thing is though.. he is that good! :thumbsup2 I believe that if he and Sandra make it to the finals, they will be the only 2 players in Survivor history to play the game multiple times and never have their torch blown out. :thumbsup2 Amanda got that feeling earlier.

You bet! Russell shouldn't underestimate the power of a dumb girl (he used the b word) :thumbsup2

I was watching the Ponderosa video and Rupert thinks that the IDOL saved Sandra, that it was because of the IDOL that he was voted out :worship: he is blaming Sandra hahaha. It was his fault for believing Russ again! Hello!

Where can I find Jeff's blog?

Well to Rupert's defense, he didn't have a play other than to believe Russ. What else could have he done? Russ couldn't vote Sandra because it would only have been 3-3 and they draw for rocks.

It would have been great if they could have gotten Sandra's husband from Afghanistan.

What I find amazing is that even though she won the million, her husband is still in the military - that is being an American hero.

What I still don't understand about Russell is - if he is as big a jerk as some players say why don't they vote him off?

I understand that at the end of the game you want to take a "loser" to the final three (or two) so you would keep him around. I'm talking about earlier in the game when you aren't focused on the end game.

She is there and telling Russ on his face that she was against him this far in the game was awesome, everybody is affraid of him, but not her! That's is something. The game is not Russel's game, the game is everybody's game, he looked like a crazy kid running around bulling people while Sandra and Parvati were laughing at him. Jerri was so scare :rolleyes1 uhh don't push Russell's buttons.

I agree that Russell doesn't have the control that he thinks he does but Sandra still hasn't really done anything. Telling him that she was against him was funny but it wasn't a game move. Russell did the same thing weeks ago and people called it a stupid move.

Sandra sucks at challenges. What she is good at is reading the situation but as the Russell detractors like to point out, a good player is good at all parts of the game.

This was Amanda's THIRD game, and the first time that she was voted out.

Russell would not have made it as far as he did if the contestants on this game had seen his first appearance so they would have known what he was like.

Right. When you're in the minority and on the chopping block you have to take a stab at any way you can to get one of the majority on your side. Going with Russell was Rupert's only hope at this stage of the game.

That is not necessarily true. There are people still on this show that have been marked since day 1 because of their past shows, yet they are still here and have a chance of winning. Good players will find a way of making it through to at least the jury.

I was amazed that Sandra even considered not playing the idol!! How many have gone home with an idol in their pocket. It would have been another one of the dumbest moves ever. If she had flipped on Russell at the merge they could have gotten rid of him then.

OK! You are entitle to your opinion. BTW Russ also sucks at challenges so the have something in common ;)

She explained why she didn't wanted to played the idol on ones of the secret videos.

I know, it was very emotional when she talked about her Mom. I hope they get a life shot of her Hubby at the finally.

I think they are keeping Russ now because they know that he is so evil that everybody hates him at the jury and they have more chances winning against him that other players. They should had voted him out earlier, not its too late.

Jerri was so worried about Russ being mad at her, please! At least Sandra had the guts to tell him that she was against him to his face :thumbsup2 I would like Russ better if he wasn't such jerk with women. He thinks that because they are girls they can do anything without him, they can't think and make decisions.

If the finally is on Sunday nite, how are they going to end the show. I know they will have another Tribal Council, so for sure one will be eliminated. Do you think they will have a double elimination, which 3 will still be left.
I'm wondering what is going on with Colby too. He had very little air time last evening.
If all villians are left, I think many of the girls want to be up against Russel, because they know, no one will vote for him.

I don't think he sucks at challenges. I think he plays them to the level he thinks he needs to. This week's immunity challenge was a difficult one so I don't think anyone sucked at it except Colby.

I've had this debate with a lot of "Russell Worshippers." I really don't think he is as masterful at this game as everyone makes him out to be. Certainly he is good, but, "the best?" I don't think so.

Part of being the best at Survivor is playing the social game. Russell thinks that he plays a social game, but, in all honesty, he has no grasp on how it should be played. If he makes it to the end this time, he will again fall short, because of his inability to properly lay out the social groundwork for victory.

Rupert told the others about Colby giving up in 15 seconds into the challenge, he told them that Colby was done when JT was voted off.
He was so mean to his poor brother too. The mental game got to him, Jeff didn't even asked him anything.

Well they need to get rid of 2 people on Sunday, it might be a double elimination game and then the final tribal council.

Oh I think the same about Sandra then ;)
