Survivor 20**HvV**No SPOILER THREAD**

I told my DD last night than when Rupert is the lone voice of reason, that doesn't bode well for the Heroes.

I think Parvati hopes to gain undying loyalty from Jerri & Sandra now. I think Jerri will, but Sandra is on her own game.

I'm surprised how beaten Colby looks.

I did feel sorry for JT (and I'll tell ya, he's a real cute kid in person), but he brought his demise on himself.

Poor Russell: he has a real urge to tell people of his achievements. If he finds an idol he will tell the camera "I've got to keep this quiet", then he will proceed to tell Rupert, Danielle, Colby, maybe even Parvati herself. He does love to 'show off'.

I think his ego gets the better of his brain sometimes. He really needs to be quiet once in a while, expecially when it comes to the idols. Maybe Parvati hiding that information from him will make him realize that sometimes silence is golden.

You know, I've always wondered how the votes are read- does Jeff organize them while he is tallying the votes? I feel like every time he reads them it always perfectly comes down to the last vote and keeps us in suspense.

Oh yeah they are definately arranged. Usually they show 2 ppl votes during voting. always for the 2 ppl we know they will be for. Then no matter what order those people voted in those 2 votes we have seen are always the first 2.

With the previews for next week. It can't be that easy. Russel will probably win the immunity idol for the week.

Sometimes it can be that easy. The previews did show JT wanting to give Russell the idol and he did. I'm hopinhg they make it harder to find the idol this time around.

Seriously, how did JT win his season? Sandra told him what was up and he still didn't listen, lol.

Sandra told Rupert and JT's arrogance blew it for him, since he thought he was smarter than Rupert. JT also gets sucked in by the good 'ol boy relationships.

I noticed that this at this TC Jeff read the votes different, he read all Jerri's first, and then all JT's, usually the votes are all mix. :rolleyes1

I have no doubt the votes are arranged for dramatic effect. The first votes read are always the one we, the audience, see.

I know a lot of people don't like Parvarti, but I have to say I think she's turning out to be the best survivor ever. She plays a great social game and has always held her own in challenges. Yeah, she comes off as cocky, but she just knows how to play to the camera and the audience. I think she understands the game and read Amanda perfectly, so that she correctly guessed she was safe. And playing those two idols has to be one of the biggest surprises ever.

I still think Russell is one of the best to ever play this game. Parvati wouldn't be in this game if Russell doesn't give her his idol, thus breaking up Rob's alliance.

As far as Russell having an advantage, I don't necessarily agree. The others didn't get to see him play, but they didn't know if they could trust him so he was in a danger of getting voted off early. Besides, even though we have seen someone play on t.v., we still don't know what happens 99% of the time. If you figure 3 days between each immunity challenge, that is 72 hours. Of those 72 hours we get to see less than an hour of footage, which is about 1% of the time these guys spend on the island. So Russell's advantage isn't as great as people seem to think it is.

Unless and until he shows that he can get votes from the jury, he isn't one of the best. He definitely isn't one of the best physical players, and his egotistical approach only takes him so far. By the time it gets to the end, he has alienated everyone that he needs to get votes from. Other players have been able to win by being strong physically and earning respect, and others have been able to win by outwitting the others in a way that they respect. Russell hasn't shown that he can do that.

J.T. and his stupid move just set in motion the down fall for his tribe. :sad2:

At least Rupert was on to them but now it is too late for them unless they turn something around and I just don't see that happening. The Hero will be picked off one by one.

In the Pondarosa Video J.T. states he was trying to make a big move and a step up for the Hero's Tribe and it back fired. Not sure how giving the idol to the other tribe was a big move for the hero's. He had the idol and could have saved it for on of the heros to use.

Can't wait to see the final when he has to sit and watch the stuff he said. He was so sure that Russ was telling the truth.

If he gets to the finals again he would have to be considered one of the best strictly for the fact that he was never voted out of the game. I think Amanda is one of the best ever for accomplishing this.

Parvati's comments to the camera were done after her conversation with Amanda. Editing would suggest that she guessed however I'm willing to bet that its done for the same dramatic effect that arranging the votes are. This isn't reality, its edited reality ;) Amanda and her probably had a very lengthy conversation where Amanda told her what was going to happen. While I agree it was a very bold move on her part, I also don't believe that she would have done it if she wasn't 100% sure that it was going to happen like that, and the only way she would have been is if she was told it was going to happen that way. She woudn't have risked her "secret" idol on a hunch, she had to have known she would be safe in order to do what she did.

Exactly.:thumbsup2

Russell is playing the exact same game he played last year. He got no votes from the jury.

Huge Survivor fan. Have seen every single episode. This, IMO, is teh best season EVER!! If they would have let Randy on the sideline for this one, it would have been a touch better. But overall, AMAZING reality TV. This cast plays the game like nobody's business. Russel, Parvati, Sandra ... they all really "get it" on how Survivor is best played. GREAT TV. As soon as each episode ends I want MORE! I can't wait to see who makes the top 3, but on the flip side I don't want the season to end.

You know how Real World Challange brings back the same folks year after year? I'm almost ready to vote for Survivor to do something like that. Fans vs Favorites again, or something like that. Give us MORE Boston Ron, more Russel, more James, more Parviti, more Ozzie, more Yauman, more Richard, more farmer Tom. Bring back that old lady that cried about the dead bat .. she was a loon! HAHA.

That editing was not good. She did not look like she knew that Amanda was lying. She looked confused and uncertain.

Oh, and if Russel makes the top 3 again I say he is indeed the best Survivor ever. Finding those idols. Having people give him idols. Giving away idols. Just because the jury holds grudges and won't vote for him means nada to me. He plays the GAME.

If Parvati had given the idol to JT instead of Sondra, she could have voted for Russell and he would have been gone. Wow, would that have been fun.

To me she looked like she did know Amanda was lying. Parvati is a smart player. She knows just because she and Amanda were in together last time around doesn't mean they are allies this time. Amanda seems to feel the same way.

Your standards are different than a lot of others. Getting votes from the jury is the ultimate essence of the GAME. Finding the idols is a skill, but so is having the physical ability to win individual challenges, and Russell is far from one of the best at that.

I think some of the best players are the ones who simply had the misfortune to be on a losing tribe, and yet still hung in by winning challenges. To me, the all time best is Ethan because he was strong physically and managed to earn the respect of the other players while he was at it.

I agree. Maybe not THE best but he's up there.

I think he's at a huge disadvantage. Because he didn't know the results of his season before this one was filmed, he didn't have a chance to learn from his prior mistakes. The man is not stupid. I believe that had he played Heros vs Villiams knowing that Natalie won, he would have done some things differently.

Really? That surprises me.

Seriously, how did JT win his season? Sandra told him what was up and he still didn't listen, lol.

He won by not trying to win so early in the game. This time he has been trying to be "strategic" and he clearly was not up to that task.

Starting to see how Sandra won her season. She's like a snake in the grass. You don't know that she's struck until it's done. Hoping she livens things up. I honestly think that had she known how Russell plays the game in advance, she might have set her alliance with him instead of Rob.

.

She seemed to stay under the radar in her season. She was always there but not "in your face" there.

I think differently. He uses his idol to intimidate people to continue to be on his side.

What a good episode it was! I don't really like Parvati but her move was brilliant!

You should be on Survivor that is even more brilliant than what Parvati did last night.:worship:
