Surviving Fay Disney Style

Another great update:thumbsup2

Tusker House looks fun minus the foul mouthed Cm:headache:

That is a funny pic of Aubrey after Goofy Stepped on her:laughing:

Poor girl though,Goofy has some big Shoes:goodvibes

Sounds like you had a blast on Safari.

If you didn't already, you should send an email to Guest Relations telling them what an enjoyable CM Brett Was. Nice to hear good things:goodvibes

OUCH to your knee incident.....Hope that did not hurt too bad in the morning:goodvibes

I love Flounder, too:lovestruc

I felt so sorry for her. First Goofy then Mickey! My knee was sore, but it really only hurts if direct pressure is put on it.

More great pictures. Poor little Aubrey's feet. The first picture of her with Goofy she looks so mad. The one with Mickey she likes like she's accepting the fact that she think that all of the characters are just going to step on at least one of her feet.
I'm sorry to hear about your knee. Hopefully it will heal faster than you think. My mom has always had bad knees, so I know what a pain it can be when they are bothering you.

Great report; I've enjoyed reading it. I had a question about the crowds: were they not there or did the GAC get you to the front of the lines so you didn't have to wait at all? I haven't seen mention of wait times or FPs.

I have a son in a wheelchair, and I love that on Pooh and iasw, you get to go through a different entrance and right to the front of the line!

Sounds like your family really enjoys each other. Looking forward to more.

Great update. Can't believe that CM, but I also have to wonder about the customer.

Oh, hated that you fell down. Hope your knee gets better soon.

Love the story about Audrey getting stepped on. Not that she got stepped on, but the picture was so cute. Mine DS probably would have hit him or yelled at him.

Glad you liked EE. DS doesn't like. He doesn't like any ride that gets dark, is real loud, and then add speed.:scared1: Nope not having it. He has ridden it twice though. We keep hoping he will decide he likes it. I know, bad parents.

ok, i would like to see an update before YUCKY shows up LOL would love to see some video!!!

Working on the videos now. One video is done, one is almost uploaded and then dh has to finish the last one. I should be updating soon. And I wish Gustov would go away already.

LOL, your not bad parents. And I do wonder what the customer did, I just didn't expect to hear that kind of language at the buffet!

The GAC did not get us front of the line access. In most places the GAC will put you in the fast pass line though so there really isn't a need for one. The tag on the stroller was more of the factor. On some rides we went into a special entrance for those with wheelchairs. We still had a little of a wait, especially the rides that had special vehicles for that entrance. TSM comes to mind. There are only 4 ride vehicles I believe desginated for handicapped guests, so you have to wait until they return. We didn't have to wait as long as we would normally have had to, but I don't want anyone to think that the line was stopped for us. Also, the crowds weren't bad due to all the rain. Most people stayed away for the most part. Thanks for reading!

8/20/08 Ashton is 18 mos old today! So what better way to celebrate than by getting his first haircut in the barber shop on Main Street! So we got up, got ready and got everyone fed and then off to a bus for MK. It was raining again this morning, but a light rain so we donned the ponchos and gave Aubrey the umbrella and we were off. There was a family ahead of us getting their daughters haircut. They were cute with all the pixie dust in their hair. It wasn't long and it was our turn! Ashton did great and Aubrey stayed with him entertaining him the whole time. After he was all finished, Aubrey was given pixie dust in her hair for being such a good sister. It was really sweet, and what a special way to have that first haircut. But I don't have a baby anymore, I have a little boy!:sad1: :sad1: :sad1: Here is a video of the haircut.

Look at that cute little boy!

After the haircut, we headed over and rode Snow white, Pooh, PP, IASW and HM. Do you notice a pattern...anything indoors! LOL Ashton decided to be his normal self and fell asleep on HM! Aubrey informed us she was hungry so we headed over to the Harbor House for lunch. Ashton woke up by the time we were all done, so we fed him while Aubrey finished her chocolate milk.

Now that all tummies were full we headed over to POC, and took a jungle cruise. This time on the POC Aubrey and dh were being silly and screamed really loud when we hit the drop. We were also in the front this time and poor Ashton about died. I think I am still wearing his finger nails in my right arm!

It was getting close to 5 and we had all had enough of the rain so we told Aubrey one more ride and then we were going to the room. The rain was also starting to pick up a bit and we wanted to get the kids out of it as soon as possible. Aubrey chose to ride Buzz so we headed in that direction. Well I can't believe I'm admitting to this, but we broke buzz!:scared: The CM told us all to get into 1 car, well I looked at her like she had two heads because I could not imagine all 4 of us fitting into 1. When she finally saw that we weren't going to we had run out of belt and I had to jump over to the side with Ashton. LOL She stopped the belt and let me and Ashton get into our own car. So if you were riding Buzz around 5 pm on the 20th and got slightly delayed...we're very sorry! LOL

We headed back to the room, fed the kids and let them play a bit while we got things ready for the next morning. I look over and Aubrey has passed out! Poor girl was wiped. She woke up a few hours later and we got her medicine in her and she went on back to sleep. Dh and I went to sleep early ourselves. Tomorrow would be another busy day.

Up next day 7 Ariel has a twin!

Aww......How precious, his first haircut:goodvibes

What a great big sister aubrey was:goodvibes

You broke Buzz, that is a riot :lmao:

love the videos!!! great report. where is the certificate for the haircut? lol more video LOL

We managed to get a move on a little earlier today! LOL (not really!) We hadn't really been getting to the parks prior to 11 or 12 unless we had an ADR for breakfast. Today was no exception. It was raining a bit harder than it had been the previous days so we actually took our time to see if it would die down a bit. We finally made it to the bus and headed back to MK. Aubrey was excited because she was going to BBB! We had some time prior to her appt so we asked her if she wanted to ride a few things first. She chose PP as her first ride. (Bet you didn't see that coming!):rotfl: By now I am getting really tired of this darn ride!:rotfl2: She loved it once again and chose to watch MPH once again. Ashton loved it and was pointing at the screen like crazy. Aubrey sat in dh's lap and was singing the whole time!

It was finally time to head over to BBB. Aubrey did BBB last year but we did it at the DTD location. This time was the castle! I have to say, I like the DTD location better. There is a lot more room there and things were handled quite differently. I think it ran a bit smoother. We didn't have a bad experience, she enjoyed it but I felt crowded and rushed and like we were always in the way. Aubrey is quite the pro and knew exactly what to expect. She kept watching another little girl next to her because she was dressing as Ariel as well. Anyway, here is the video...

Does anybody else think she looks like Stephanie from Full House with her hair all pulled back? Everytime I look at it, I think of Stephanie Judith Tanner! I can just see her saying "How Rude!" LOL

Here are a few pics as well...

THE BIG REVEAL!!

After we left BBB, we went over to the cinema shop. We have a friend who is one of the watch artists there. So we stopped in to say HI and let little Ariel strut her stuff!

Once we were done visiting, we decided we needed to head on over to Epcot. We had ADR's for Norway in hopes of seeing Ariel. The rain was REALLY starting to pick up now so we decided to book it to the monorail while we could.

We arrived in Epcot early, but we didn't want to chance things. Ariel was very important after all. We decided to go see another friend of ours. Tiffany is one of the performers in the American Pavilion. We made it in perfect timing! They were getting ready to sing in roughly 5 mins!  Tiffany (along with the others of course!) sounded beautiful as ever. We visited for a few minutes before she had to get ready for the next show. It was great to catch up with her. Here is a pic of her, if you go by tell her Buddy and Debbie say Hello!
DSC_0345.jpg

Now I should mention that Tiffany was a member of the group Truth. She has a wonderful talent and is currently working on an album as we speak! We are very excited for her and can't wait to hear it.

The rain was really, really coming down by now and the wind had picked up. Keeping our little princess dry and that hair in place was beginning to be a challenge. We went over to Norway to see if they could take us a bit early, but they couldn't. So we both rode Maelstrom with Aubrey while Ashton took a nap. We decided to just hang out at the exit to the ride for a while and rest. Then I realized there was a kidcot location in the store so we let Aubrey work on a mask until time to eat.

Aubrey was so excited when we finally got inside. We did the customary picture with Belle. Ashton would have nothing to do with it. He waved and ran! LOL We made it to our table and Aubrey immediately asked if Ariel was there. We had been preparing her that she may not be, but our waiter gave us the best news ever! Yes, she was there that night!:lovestruc :worship: :worship:

Aubrey barely touched her food, but she had a blast! First up was Cinderella.

Then Aurora...

Next was Jasmine
DSC_0357.jpg

And finally the star of the show!!! ARIEL!!!
Now I have to tell you when Aubrey saw Ariel she nearly knocked her chair over. Thankfully, dh was quick enough and caught Aubrey and the chair! And in true 6 yo innocence, Aubrey turned to me and said "Mommy, Ariel is wearing MY dress!":rotfl2: :lmao:
DSC_0361.jpg

DSC_0362.jpg

Then Ariel tried to spend some time with Ashton, but he decided to play coy..
DSC_0364.jpg

Ariel and Aubrey discussed the fact that they looked a like and how much Aubrey wanted to eat with Ariel. Ariel was wonderful to say the least. She didn't rush from our table at all.

Our plan had been to ride SE once again before leaving the park. That plan got scrapped big time. LOL The wind and the rain were absolutely awful by this point. Today felt like a TS had come thru! We decided to high tail it to the room as fast as we could. By far this was the worst day of the trip weather wise, but I can assure you it was the highlight of the trip for Aubrey. We had one very happy princess on the way back. And a very tired one at that!

Up next..Day 8 Chef Mickey's here we come!

Next was Mulan
DSC_0357.jpg

looks like JASMINE there LOL

now i want to know who this princess is?
DSC_0329.jpg

LOL yes I meant Jasmine. I was looking at another pic from last years bk while I waited for these to upload...sorry! :lmao: :rolleyes1

Great updates! Your kids are so cute, and yes, she does resemble Stephanie from Full House with her hair pulled back.

So, is Houston expecting any bad weather from Gustov. I've been watching the weather but haven't heard anything. Did see that N. TX would be getting some of it. I'm from West Texas myself.

Houston is on a wait and see basis. We won't get much if it stays on it's current path, but as we all know no one really knows what it will do until it does it.

Thanks for saying she looks like Stephanie to you too! I was thinking I might be loosing it! LOL

Great update.

She does look like Stephanie in that first pic:goodvibes

Love the pics with Ariel.....:goodvibes

The pics and video of the kids were so cute. The video of Ashton's first hair cut made me tear up, b/c I remembered mine getting their first hair cut. After reading your post I was hoping that at the end of the video you had her say "how rude" b/c she looked so much like her in that pic.

I'll have to send that link to my sister that you linked KYCruiseCrazy. She just moved back to the Dallas/ Fort Worth TX area from New Orleans, and they still have many friends back in NOLA.

You know, I really need to try to get her to watch that show. I bet she could impersonate her with no problems at all! LOL
